  • Shaun Alexander - He has to have a bounce back game doesn't he?
  • Peyton Manning - KC defense. That's all I'm saying.
  • Trent Green - Get healthy game against the rattled Indy defense.
  • Ruben Droughns - Uh, did you see what Priest and Blaylock did against ATL last week?

All Star Break

Half way through the year, it's time for our All-Star game. I have gone through the leagues and taken a look at who the top performers were. To make it interesting, lets go with the USFL and the CFL combining forces against the WAFL and XFL.

Commish

4-1 (27-8) - Seriously!
Friday Night
Stanwood (pick) @ Snohomish
This one is for all the marbels. If the Spartans win, they are WESCO North Champs. It's as easy as that. Spartans lose, and there is a table load of options for them larger than the spread at Thanksgiving. Snohomish needs this win to have a shot at the playoffs. There aren't any Spartan players who have played in a game of this magnitude, and the game is @ Snohomish. For those reasons, I'm leaning toward Snohomish in this one.
Saturday
Stanford (+5) @ UCLA
Here is your Pac-10 game of the week. UCLA is a better team than people think. How many points did they put up last week? Now they are at home against a Stanford team, and are underdogs. Don't get this one. I'm all over the Bruins here. Stanford is decent, but no way better than ASU, and not on the road. UCLA gets a game closer to bowl eligible, and may do it quite large. Take the Bruins here please.
Tennessee (+-1.5) @ South Carolina
I'm on Tennessee, and I'm off Tennesse. It's almost like every other week. Sorry Brager, but I'm taking the Gamecocks in this one. The game is in S. Carolina, and the young Tennessee quarterbacks will struggle against the Gamecock defense and be intimidated by the crowd. This one will be a close one that Tennesse may actually lead at times, but a late score by SC get's it done.
Texas (-14) @ Colorado
Is it me, or is Colorado the UW of the Big 12? Seriously. The Buffalos are so dissapointing this year. We all know that Texas only losses one game a year, and that game is to Oklahoma. The Longhorns are getting back on track and aiming at a New Year's day bowl game. Here we go with the their run again. Cedrick Benson is making a run at Heisman talk, and he gets a healthy dose of yards this week. Take the Horns.
Oklahoma (-12) @ Oklahoma State
This is probably the most dangerous game on my board. If you know me, again, you know I like taking the home team in rivalries, especially when they get double digit points. That is the case in this one as the Cowboys entertain the Sooners in a huge OK State tip. I do actually think the Cowboys keep it close for a while, Oklahoma will pull it out but I don't think by more than a TD and FG. Take the Cowboys plus the points.
