Animals in Need of Foster Homes
Can you help? We currently have several animals waiting for a foster or forever home, including a wonderful dog who has been patiently waiting for over TEN MONTHS now! While the kennel is a wonderful place, it's not the best environment for him. He needs love and comfort and attention focused on him. If you can help us by opening your home for fostering, please contact us as soon as possible. We take care of all expenses (vet, food, etc.) - all we ask of you is a home, love and patience. Due to the lack of fosters, we are having to turn animals away from our program.

Is there ANYONE out there who would help us save the life of this wonderful dog?
Bond is approximately 2.5 years old and can only go to a home where there are NO OTHER ANIMALS
From babies to the elderly, he is amazing! This boy ADORES humans. All he asks for is love and a forever home.
Please, won't you take pity on this poor little boy and give him a forever home? His love and loyalty will reward you a million times over.
Shaken or stirred, it really doesn't matter to this sweet boy, he just wants a home to love him for who he is, not use and abuse him as he was previously.
Bond came into rescue covered in scars and had huge open wounds which are now completely healed. His ears were "cropped" rather rudely, most likely a home crop job, and he is left with just little nubbies for ears.
Don't let his abusive past scare you, this dog is ALL about loving people, he has been exposed to people of all ages and is STELLAR with everyone. Since September, Bond has been undergoing obedience training & behaviour modification. This boy learns quickly & is very eager to please! He is very food motivated. He now knows the commands sit, wait, down, come & off.
True to the typical bully nature, he would prefer to be best friends with humans rather than other pets..therefore a home without other pets is a must for this sweet boy.
This poor boy didn't even know what toys were when we brought him into the program! However, he now loves to chase and play with his Kong, Boingo Ball, and anything else you want to throw for him!
He is very special, everyone who meets him has fallen in love. After all that he has been through, he deserves that special "someone" to give and show him the love he has never had.
We are looking for breed experienced folks who want the bully dawg of their dreams.

Bond is currently in a wonderful foster home, living with two children & sleeping with his foster mum & dad in bed! Unfortunately, they are unable to adopt him fully.

"As Bond's most recent Foster parents, I would like to say he is a one of a kind dog. Our days with him have been wonderful. Bond adapted easily to our home and moved right in to our family's routine. He is a very affectionate, loyal and well behaved dog. He is definitely a source of entertainment when he runs around the backyard and plays and pounces with his ball.
Daily walks on leash have been, for the most part, uneventful except with bikes and rollerbladers. Interaction with our kids has been excellent, but he does not enjoy when they play fight. He likes to get in between them to break it up.
All in all Bond has been a wonderful house guest and we would highly recommend his adoption to any family who will love and adore him as he so deserves"

Duchess is a sweet, 1.5 year old girl who has lived in an auto wrecker's yard for most of her life.
Luckily, Duchess has an angel looking out for her. This angel contacted S.O.A.R. about this pretty, little girl and, after a thorough temperament test, the owners of the company have agreed to release her to rescue.
Duchess' angel comes to the yard every morning before work and every evening after work to walk, play with and feed her.
A home without cats or small children would be best for Duchess. She loves to chase a ball or wrestle with other dogs. She will need basic training, but she does know "sit" and "come".
Will you help us get Duchess out of this dirty, shattered-glass-infested yard?

Duke is a gorgeous, 5 year old German Shepherd. Unfortunately, his current owners are unable to take care of him and hope someone will give this sweet boy a loving home.
Duke knows his basic commands, walks well on leash & loves to play ball!
This fun loving, energetic boy enjoys the company of people, other dogs & cats. Due to his size, we do not recommend a home with children under 10.

With the help of one of our supporters, S.O.A.R. was able to stop (with 24 hours to spare!) the euthanization of Sasha, an 8-yr. old tuxedo cat.
Sasha is a real doll, BUT, needs a home where she can be the center of attention... no other pets, just her!
She is fixed, up to date on shots and although diabetic, does not require anything more than proper diet and pills.........no insulin shots!
Our supporter reports, "Sasha has been surrendered by her owner who has several other cats and, until I stuck my nose in her business, was due to be put down.
If you know of any one who can give this little girl the home and attention she needs, PLEASE contact us as soon as possible. She has a very temporary home, but a groom shop/vet clinic is no place for permanency.

Bear is declawed and spayed and approximately 2 &1/2 years old. She is the most affectionate and loving pet. All she wants is to be loved and held.She really enjoys being brushed. She is very playful and they (Bear and Bella) love to play together with their cat toys and wrestle each other in fun.
Both ladies are indoor cats only and are very very clean. The very thought of the outdoors would probably kill them before the elements or other animals would. The love being at home, resting, playing and sitting in the sun.
These two lovely ladies need a home together as they are extremely bonded.

Bella is the princess of our house and she knows it. She is a little more reserved and tends to shy away unless she knows you and feels comfortable, but once she does she loves being rubbed and played with. Just like her sister, she is 2 and 1/2 years old and is spayed and declawed.
Both ladies are indoor cats only and are very very clean. The very thought of the outdoors would probably kill them before the elements or other animals would. The love being at home, resting, playing and sitting in the sun.
These two lovely ladies need a home together as they are extremely bonded.
