Daniel, Zoie and Benjamin, What are you singing?
"Oh come all ye faithful
You aren't singing the right words!
Daniel: "Okay, we'll sing a different one."
All is calm, all is bright Long John Silvers sounds good to me...
Zoie: Arrrf!"
Ahem. Uh... maybe you could try "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer."
Daniel: "Rudolph the WHAT?
Benjamin: "Is he made out of chocolate?"
No, he isn't made out of chocolate!!! Don't you guys sing about anything other than food and catnip?
(all three look at each other dumbly)
Daniel: "Like what?"
Like the birth of the baby Jesus-- you know... the reason we celebrate Christmas in the first place!
Daniel: "Well, we don't wait until Christmas to celebrate. We are thankful each and every day for all the things we have: Mommy, Daddy, food, catnip, litter... everything! That's why we sing about some of the stuff we love: because it was given to us by God, just like the little baby Jesus, and we want to show our appreciation."
Oh, okay... Well, there you have it. Daniel, Zoie and Benjamin are in the Christmas spirit all year round. Couldn't we all take a lesson from them?
