| Drew's Bio Instrument: Guitar, Backup Vocals Birthplace: The Ghetto of Po-Town, NY Birthdate: February 24th 1985 Age: 16 Nationality: Italiano Favorite Music: I could make a list but it would take hours to download. I love Sublime, Nirvana, Dave Matthews, and good jazz and classical. How he became part of Further: Drew met Josh at Josh's school's homecoming dance in '99. Drew was like "this dude's mad cool" so they chilled a little and then didn't talk for a while, until Drew got an e-mail from Josh asking him to be in a band. Drew was like "cool" and he eventually made it to a practice between keggers. The band, then "Food, Gas and Lodging," was three pieces, and quickly became four with the addition of Dan "wacko synth dude" the man, and they played a mini-gig before the addition of Mike the ill drummer. So what does Drew do in the band? He plays lead guitar and sings harmony which is usually a couple octaves too high to be healthy. He likes to use a volume pedal. Mmmmm, processed sound. Equipment - 1999 Fender Roadhouse Deluxe American Stratocaster through his mad effects signals: DOD grunge distortion, Crybaby Wah, Ernie Ball volume pedal, Boss digital delay, Boss Compression Sustainer, Boss Reverb and DOD Chorus which Josh now has all plugged into a Line 6 Spider 50W amp which is a great amp. When mellow and acoustic he plays a 1962 Gibson Hummingbird (thank you mom) and he can also be found jamming on his MTD growler bass. At home, he records onto a Fostex FD-8, using a tascam mic mixer, an Artec GEQ system and a lot of sennheiser mics. Patch bays are easy. There's a monkey hanging from the ceiling in the studio. Do you like monkeys? I do. |
