How He Became Included In The Band:
Mike started playing drums the summer of 99 in his garage, he bought some cheap drum set from a music store nearby.  Druming was a childhood dream of his.  He wasn’t in a real band until the summer of 2000 when he was the drummer in his friend Dan’s band.  He never played anywhere with him but they just practiced in his garage that summer.  Then during that fall, Mike’s high school was having it’s annual coffee house, an event with poetry, art, and music.  He was pretty unimpressed with most of the bands there, with the exception of who is now known as
Æthyr, which is a kick ass hardcore band.  Mike soon saw his future band play, at this time they were known as "Food, Gas, and Lodging".  He thought they were pretty good and he wondered if they needed a drummer since they didn’t have one.  He asked them afterwards and they said they do, soon after that they formed the band Further.
