Welcome to Joey Zeh's Biopage!
Joey Zeh - My bio huh??? Let's see, it all started when my mom dropped a
sauce pan and I was startled by the incredible noise it made. From then on I
would use her pans as my drums until my parents bought me my first Roger's
drum set. Sure it broke up their marriage and I was left with the house,
drums, and a kick ass stereo system, but I guess that's how funny life is
sometimes. I began singing in a set of headphones connected to a mic jack
on my dad's stereo to bands like CSNY, Heart, Beatles and ZZ Top. I Loved
to hear my voice over the speakers. I learned how to sing harmony from my
grandmother's beautiful voice and learned guitar chords from my dad's finger
breaking teaching technique. I then began trying out for solo parts at school
at a very young age and usually wanted the spot light at all times. You just
couldn't shut me up!!! Still holds true today if you ask anybody that knows
me well. I picked up the keyboards listening to my grandfather playing the
organ and began the dream to play in a band as my dad had. I met some really
interesting people at a young age and had the opprotunity to step forward and
show off my hidden talents and I was hooked musically. My father and I
produced my first CD "All In Time" and it was a huge studio lesson for me.
Although nothing has become of that CD, I still have dreams of picking up
where I've left off pushing my music. I've been performing live on stages now
for the past 16 years via Drums, and the past 7 years I've dedicated to guitar,
keys, and percussion and it's truly the greatest feeling anyone could ever
have. Sure I enjoy partying my ass off with the audience and watching them
dance and sing, who wouldn't??? If it wasn't for the music, I'd be serving a
life sentence of BOREDOM.
