Why Eighteen?
You may be asking yourself, Why did Caitlin choose to make a site about Android 18? Well, I'll tell you. I chose Eighteen because, not only is she my favorite character in Dragonball, she is also one of the most misunderstood.
Some fans of Vegeta, Piccolo, Yamcha, and Tien don't like her because she and Android Seventeen killed them all in Mirai No Trunks' timeline. But what people have to understand is that Alternate Eighteen(Future Eighteen), and the Eighteen of this time are like totally different people. While Future Eighteen was a ruthless killer like her brother, the
Eighteen we know is kind, generous, thougtful, and sweet once you get to know her.
Krillin proves this fact. When he fell in love with her, it seemed he had no chance of winning her heart because she was so evil and careless at the time. But when he destroyed the remote that Bulma had made to shut her down, she realized how much this little "Chrome Dome" cared for her. Even after she was absorbed by Cell, and then spat back out again when SSJ2 Gohan punched Cell in the stomach, she still realized that maybe there was more to life then killing and hurting others. This fact teaches a very important lesson: You don't always have to hurt others to prove how tough you are. There are people that love you wherever you look, and your family will always be there to assist you. And that is what Eighteen found: family and people that loved her. She ended up marrying Krillin and having a baby with him, a little girl whom they called Marron, after Krillin's first girlfriend, Maron.
It seems, throughout the Buu saga at the end of Dragonball Z, that Eighteen has forgotten about her twin brother, Seventeen. We don't see him again until Dragonball GT, and even then, it's actually not the real Seventeen, just a copy made by the deceased doctors, Wheelo and Gero. I haven't seen any of the GT episodes yet, but as far as I know, Eighteen attacks her "brother" at one point because he tries or does hurt Krillin. I think Eighteen and Krillin even die together(see "Eighteen Family Images" in my image gallery), leaving Marron without any parents. This must have been a hard and sad time for Marron.

Even though Eighteen might have died in Dragonball GT(I don't know if she gets wished back or something or not, we'll just have to wait and see when the GT episodes air in English), I still think of her as a great edition to the Dragonball saga. Without her, the series would not be where it is today.
