Ernest C. Daylong July 9, 1935 - Sept. 24, 2001 SOMERVILLE — Services for Ernest C. Daylong, 66, of Somerville are set for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Bryan. The Rev. Rick Denson will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. Mr. Daylong died Monday at Scott & White Hospital in Temple. Born in Hamilton, he was retired as a district manager with Southwest convenience stores after 17 years of service. He was a member of the Christian Business Men’s Association and was a deacon at Cross Christian Church in Midland. He also did volunteer work with MDA.
