Welcome
Welcome to the website of the Filipino Workers Support
Group. FWSG is based in Montreal, Canada. Since it's formation, the organization
have been active in promoting the rights and welfare of our "kababayan"
in Montreal.
The Filipino Workers Support Group is a member of MIGRANTE
International, an international alliance of migrant organizations inside and
outside the Philippines. The organization also strive to support and take part
in the struggle of the Filipino people for a just and lasting peace and genuine
democracy in our country.

February 7 - IWC labour community dinner at Restaurant Bill Wong 7965
Boul. Decarie. FWSG will be one of the speakers. Dinner starts at 7PM. For tix

- February 28 - Video Screening "Anak", a
film by Rory Quintos that deals with the plight of a migrnat mother and the
effects of this migration to her family. Date TBA
- March 20 -
Filipino Artists benefit concert. It will be held at Maison dela Culture Cote
des Neiges. The proceeds will go to the Tondo fire

Standards workshop. Place and date TBA
- April -
Fundraising raffle. First prize will be a karaoke DVD machine. We'll be selling
the tickets on February.

to support Nestlé workers
We are currently campaigning to support the
striking Nestle workers in the Philippines through "Balik-Bayan
Box". You can support by donating canned goods, old clothes and
other nonperishable items. You can drop them off at the Immigrant
