Backslidden:Is there a way back?
Wake up, people! You have walked in the darkness for way too long. You can't stay there forever. Doesn't God deserve much more than a whole bunch of lukewarm Christians? Some of you ask "How do we return?" Just confess your sins to him and turn your life back to him because no matter what you do he hasn't left you.
John 1:9
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just, to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
It seems so easy and it actually is. Returning back to Jesus is as easy as accepting Jesus as your Lord and savior. You need to light the fire back up that you had when you accepted Jesus. Remember where you were before you fell. Change your ways and do what you did at first. God is just like the father in the story of the prodigal son (Luke 15:11-32). His son had wanted to go his own ways and took his inheritance from his father. The son spent all of his inheritance in the city and was poor. He soon was sharing food with the pig and then realized that his father's servants had a better life than he did. So he decided to go back to his father and beg to take him as a servant. To make a story short, His father was waiting there all along and ran up to his son. He restored his son back into the family! Isn't that wonderful? God is standing there with open arms and he wants you to come back to him. He loves you that much!
If you want help restoring your relationship with God just look up your local church and ask God to come back to your life. We also are here to help with your problems so you can contact us also. Never forget that you are a child of God, and you can never be removed from his family. It's just like a parent and a child. The child may do something bad and that may break fellowship between the parent and the child, but no matter what happens the relationship won't cease. The child still has the parent's blood just like we have God's blood. The child could never not be a part of the family because as long as it has it's parent's blood, it's still considered the parent's child. That's the same way as it is with God. So if you are dealing with these problems and you feel the urge to turn back, then remember that God is waiting for you.
