The wedding plans were well under way for Lewis and Angel.
This was a good thing considering the event was only a month away.
Angel had always wanted a Fall wedding and now she was getting
her wish. October 6th was the magic day and it was a day they
both hoped would be the beginning of the best time of their lives.
Briana was to be the Matron of Honor and Oswald, of course, was
to be the Best Man. They had also asked Drew and Kate to stand
up for them. Angel was in the middle of one of her many dress fittings
when she was gripped by yet another anxiety attack. Her third one
in about as many hours.
"Oh God! Did I pick the Bird of Paradise blooms or the Roses?"
Angel panicked.
"You picked the Oriental Lillies," said Kate, calmly.
"I did?" Angel seemed genuinely surprised.
"Yes," said Briana. "Remember? A couple months ago? We
spent FOUR HOURS at the florist? I didn't think Lewis was ever going
to make it through the whole ordeal."
"Oh...yeah. Well, good," said Angel, sounding much calmer.
"Yes, the arrangements are beautiful," said Kate. "Now hold still so
the seamstress doesn't poke you again."
"What - Ow!" yelled Angel for the millionth time.
"I told you!" said Kate.
"Sorry, Honey," said the Seamstress.
Angel looked at herself in the mirror. Her dress was very simple. It
was sleeveless, the straps resting on her shoulders. There was a
beautiful pattern embroidered along the hem of the dress, around the
waist and the neckline. Her headpiece was a rhinestone tiara. The veil
would hang from the bottom of it to about her waist. It was also easily
removable when it was time to dance! She had a rhinestone choker and
a matching bracelette. Her earrings were solitary rhinestones for each
ear. She planned on wearing her hair down and they wouldn't be very
noticable so she went plain. And, of course, the whole dress was a
beautiful, silky white. It was a good thing white was more of a tradition
now and had nothing to do with your virginity. If that were still the case
she'd have to walk down the aisle in a bright red dress after the past year
she'd had with Lewis!
It seemed like an eternity ago that she sat down with Kate, Briana
and her mother and tried to pick one dress out of the four she had
narrowed it down to...
"What's wrong with this one?" asked Angel's mother, Maggie. She
was holding up a snapshot of a gown she had picked out but Angel had
immediately rejected.
"Mom, we've been over this. It's just so...busy!" exclaimed Angel.
The dress in question was covered from neck to toe with beads and
sequins and shiny things. She had tried it on at the bridal shop just to
humor her mother.
"Oh, but it's so pretty!" Maggie said fondly. Angel let out an exasperated
sigh and stood up.
"Why don't we just stick to the four we have here," Briana said
calmly, trying to be the voice of reason. Angel sat back down and
looked at the pictures again. All were very simple, which is what she
wanted. All were very beautiful...she wanted that too. But she couldn't
wear all four...could she?
"Hey, maybe I can do that thing they do on awards shows," began
Angel. "You know, change dresses every hour or so." The three other
women looked at her like she had lost her mind. "I'm kidding, guys!
Lighten up!"
"We've been staring at these pictures for hours," whined Kate. "When
are we gonna eat? I"m starving?" Kate was sitting on the floor at
Angel's apartment, next to the cocktail table. she promptly flopped
backwards onto her back and stared up at the ceiling.
"As soon as I pick one, we'll eat," said Angel. Kate moaned
melodramatically and Angel gave her a soft kick.
"Ow!" Kate tried to yell with a straight face. She failed miserably
and ended up laughing. Briana raised an eyebrow at her.
"I think we're about to lose Kate to the depths of food deprivation
insanity," Briana joked. "You know which one Kate and I like. It's up
to you."
"Yes, dear," said Maggie. "If you won't wear my favorite I'm going to
have to go with Kate and Briana's pick." Angle studied the pictures
again and shook her head.
"Ok," she said finally. "I love them all equally, but I'm going to go
with the hungry mob. That one!"...
Of course, she changed her mind two more times after that but she
was quite happy with her final choice. She looked at her reflection in
the mirror and wondered how Lewis was fairing with his and the guys tux
fitting.

"Quit complaining, Oswald," said Lewis.
"Well, how many do we have to look at for God's sake?" Oswald
said. "It's not like there's a big difference between all these!"
"There is so a difference!" Lewis said defensively. "At least, that's
what Angel tells me." Oswald rolled his eyes.
"See?" he said. "You can't tell the difference either!"
"All right, you guys!" Drew said, standing between them. "There's
a difference. See? This one is double breasted, this one is single,
the collar on this one is wider...what?" Oswald and Lewis were staring
at Drew.
"See what happens when you get married?" Oswald said as he turned
to Lewis. "I'm tellin' ya, man, don't do it."
"Oh, ha ha!" Drew said sarcastically. "My knowing the difference
between tuxes has nothing to do with being married! I work in a department
store!"
"All right, well, he's got me there," Oswald said to Lewis. Drew just
sighed and grabbed a tux off the rack.
"Here," he said to Lewis, "this is a nice one." Drew held up a
traditional looking, single breasted tux with a notch collar. Lewis raised
his eyebrows.
"I like that," he said.
"That's a good choice," said a saleswoman who had snuck up on them.
They all turned and looked at her.
"Oh, hey, Karen," Drew said with a smile. Karen was about 40 years
old, attractive, dark hair and eyes, and kind of tall.
"You getting married *again*?" Karen joked.
"Nah, it's for Lewis," Drew said as he gestured toward Lewis. Karen
turned to Lewis.
"*You're* getting married?!" she asked incredulously. "God, I could
barely get through one date with you! I can't believe you found someone
willing to spend their whole life with you!"
Lewis grabbed the tux out of Drew's hands. "Very funny, Karen. Are
you here to help or not?" he sneered.
"All right, all right," said Karen. "Let me see...what color is the wedding?"
"The color?" asked Lewis. Karen looked at him patiently.
"Yes, what color will the bridesmaids be wearing?"
"Oh! That...um...Angel said silver, right?" Lewis asked Drew and
Oswald. Drew and Oswald nodded.
"Silver!" said Karen. "Perfect!" Karen ran around the department
grabbing accessories and then returned to the guys. "How's this?"
She held up a silver vest, bow tie, and pocket square all with a diamond
pattern in them.
Lewis looked over the items, not really having any idea what he was
doing. But he did know one thing. "You know, I really don't like bow
ties," he said. Karen raised her eyebrows this time and then smiled.
"I have just the thing," she said as she disappeared again. She
returned with a small box. She opened it and took out the object inside.
She showed them a black and silver stud. "You wear this at the collar
instead of a tie," she stated. Lewis smiled as she magically produced
matching cuff-links. "What do you think?" she asked. Lewis looked at
Drew and Oswald who were smiling.
"I think that'll do," he said.
"Good!" said Karen. "Now go get undressed."
"What?" asked Lewis.
"All right!" said Oswald. "Can we all get undressed?" Drew smacked
Oswald in the arm.
"It's so we can get measured for the tuxes!" Drew said.
"Ohhhh," said Oswald, looking disappointed. Lewis shrugged and went
to undress. The guys followed.

Angel had finished with her fitting and the the women were
in the process of getting their dresses altered. Angel had, mercifully
to Briana, picked out a dress with an empire waist. Briana would
be starting to show her pregnancy by the time of the wedding and the
dress would allow for that without any a problem. The dresses were
silver in color, floor length, sleevless and had a square collar. Angel
had fallen in love with then at first sight and Kate and Briana had no
complaints. They both looked great in it. Kate twirled around in front
of the mirror.
"I love how the skirt does that!" she said, watching as the dress
twirled around with her. She was like a little girl getting dressed up
for the first time, twirling and giggling. The Seamstress humored Kate
for a few minutes before calling her to attention.
"Ok, let's get this finished up," the Seamstress said. Kate stopped
and pouted. She climbed up on the "step" to allow the Seamstress to get
to work. Angel and Briana were laughing quietly.
"What?" Kate said to them. Angel shook her head.
"You crack me up, Kate!" she said.
"What about you?" Kate asked Angel. "You know, you could have
taken that dress off 20 minutes ago." Angel smiled, embarrassed.
"I just like to wear it," she said meekly. Briana was off and laughing
now. Kate and Angel looked at her.
"Someone's having a hormone rush!" teased Kate.
"Oh, I am not!" Briana laughed.
"So how do you think the guys are doing?" Angel said. Briana stopped
laughing.
"Oh, I don't even want to think about it," she groaned.
"Oh, c'mon, " said Kate, "Drew should be a pro now after helping to
plan his own wedding. He'll help Lewis."
"God, I hope so," said Angel. "It's the one thing I've trusted him to
do alone. Pick out the tuxes."
"You told him we're wearing silver didn't you?" asked Briana.
"Yes," Angel said with a sigh. "But when I told him he looked at me
like I wasn't making any sense. I don't think he understood the significance."
Kate started chuckling quietly. "What?" Angel asked her.
"I was just picturing the guys showing up wearing all silver, down to their
shoes and loaded with big, obnoxious silver jewelry," Kate giggled.
"That's not funny!" said Angel. "Poke her with one of those big pins,
will you?" Angel joked to the Seamstress.
"She stands still about as well as you do, Honey," said the Seamstress
with a smile. "She'll get poked sooner or later!"
"Sooner, please!" Angel teased. Briana was doubled over laughing
by this time. "I hope I'm that happy when I'm pregnant," said Angel,
looking amused.
"So you're planning on kids?" Kate said, smiling.
"Just one," said Angel.
"Only one?" Briana said.
"Yep. Just one. That's about all I can handle!" said Angel.
"Are you going to start right away?" asked Kate.
"Probably. We're not getting any younger," Angel said.
"Oh please, you have plenty of time," said Kate. "It's not like you've
got one foot in the gra-OW!"
"See?" said the Seamstress with a grin. "Sorry, Honey." Kate gave
the Seamstress a stern look and then turned back to the mirror. "Ok,
we're all done. Time to take those off and give them to me." The women
pouted and then did as they were told. On their way out...
"Should we go check and see how th guys are doing?" asked
Briana.
"Yeah!" said Kate. "We'll keep a low profile. They'll never know
we're spying on them!"
"I'm in!" said Angel.

Oswald was standing impatiently, waiting for Lewis to come out of the
dressing room. Karen had actually found a tux close to Lewis' size and
he was trying the whole thing on to see how it would look. "What the heck
is taking you so long, Lewis?" he yelled. "You get caught in the zipper
or something?"
Lewis chuffed. "Yeah, that *does* happen a lot," he said, the innuendo
dripping from his voice.
"Ha, ha, let's just see the tux," said Drew.
"All right, gimme a minute!" said Lewis.
"C,mon!" whined Oswald.
"All right!" Lewis said, becoming impatient. Karen rolled her eyes.
"You guys never change do you?" she asked.
"What's that supposed to mean?" responded Oswald.
"Nothing," said Karen. Karen and Oswald just stared at eachother.
"You're undressing me with your eyes aren't you," Karen finally said.
"Yes," Oswald admitted.
"*That's* what I mean!"
Angel, Kate and Briana were hiding behind a couple of mannequins
during this entire exchange.
"I think she likes him," Kate whispered.
"What?" said Angel. "I don't know. Sounds to me like she can't
stand him." Kate just shrugged.
"It's a game," said Kate. "She likes him." Angel was about to
respond when Lewis walked out from the dressing room. Angel's mouth
dropped open and her breathing quickened.
"Whoa, down, Angel!" said Briana.
"Oh, God, look at him," Angel said, starting to drool. Kate and
Briana looked at Lewis and then at eachother.
"I hate to admit this," said Kate, "but she's right." They looked back
at Lewis.
"Yeah," said Briana. "He does look rather..."
"Yummy," Angel practically growled. Briana and Kate were physically
holding Angel back as Lewis strutted around in front of the mirrors,
checking every angle.
"So whaddya guys think?" Lewis asked.
"It's nice!" Oswald replied. "Very dapper!"
"One look at you in that and Angel's gonna go nuts," said Drew.
"And I'm hoping will have the same reaction to me," Drew grinned.
"Oh, yes," Briana whispered to Kate and Angel.
"You're going to look great in that too, Oswald," said Karen.
"See?!" Kate whispered. Briana nodded. Angel was still too
taken to respond.
"You think she'll really like it?" Lewis asked. At that moment
there was a commotion behind the mannequins that caught the guys
attention. One fell over to reveal Kate and Briana struggling with Angel.
The women froze when they realized they had been spotted.
"Something about this turns me on," said Drew.
"I know what you mean," said Lewis, his voice lowering as he took
in the sight of his fiancee being restrained by Briana and Kate. Kate
and Briana reluctantly let go of Angel. Angel straightened her clothes
out and then walked calmly up to Lewis. She slowly looked him up and
down.
"Meet me at my apartment in 15 minutes," she commanded.
"Yes, Ma'am," Lewis purred. Kate and Briana gently grabbed Angel
and pulled her away toward the exit.
"See you at home, Drew," Briana said with a wink. Drew smiled at her.
"Time for me to go," said Drew. "Got a hot date!"
"Me too!" Lewis said happily as he dashed back into the dressing
room. Oswald stood and pouted.
"Say, Oswald," began Karen.
"Yeah," Oswald said, sounding a little down.
"You wanna go grab a bite to eat?" Karen asked. Oswald looked
at her in surprise. A smile spread across his face.
"Sure!" he said with much enthusiasm.
"Let me go make sure my relief is here and then we'll go," said Karen.
"OK!" Karen walked off and Oswald turned to Drew.
"I've gotta hot date too!" he said.
"Watch her," Lewis said as he walked out of the dressing room.
It was the fastest he'd ever changed clothes. "She's a little fiesty."
"I like 'em fiesty," said Oswald.
"Good," Lewis said criptically. "Well, guys, I hate to rush off
so fast...actually, no, I don't hate to. See ya!" Lewis almost ran
from the store.
"I'm gonna take off too," said Drew. "Have fun, Buddy!" Drew
also left quickly. Oswald stood alone waiting for Karen to come back.
In a few minutes she returned.
"Ready?" she asked.
"Lead the way," said Oswald. He let her walk ahead of him,
getting a spectacular view of her rear end. Oswald was grinning ear
to ear as he left the store.
