Meg, Jeff, and Fred hiked in the White Mountains of NH over July 4, 1998. Considering Jeff's size, hiking is not easy for him. Part of hiking is making the right decisions and that's just what Jeff did on this hike. The second day, we hiked to Mizpah. This hike takes you down into the valley from Zealand Falls. Jeff then decided to go the shortest way to Mizpah and did arrive at the hut in plenty of time for dinner. Meg and Fred and most of the other 34 hikers took a longer route and 17 of those did not arrive in time for dinner. Click here for a full photo report of the hike.
