Third Episode
Miaka, now the “Maiden of Suzaku”, and Tamahome were
sheltered in the palace of Hotohori. One morning
Miaka had a ‘vision’ of his brother – but the truth
is that the person she’s looking at was Tamahome. He
comforted the disappointed maiden by hugging and
saying some comforting words with serious and gentle
voice. Miaka and Tamahome went to Hotohori. She was
given more information about Suzaku and the Seven
Suzaku Star Warriors. She doubted that the reason why
Tamahome and Hotohori were treating her so kindly was
because she was the maiden and they are her warriors.
Therefore its their duty to do so. Hotohori
gathered all the best intellectuals and military
leaders. Tamahome demonstrated his strength in
fighting but to no avail, no Suzaku Warrior appeared.
Miaka insulted the military leaders. They attacked
her until she ran to a gazebo.
A leader threw a
wooden hammer to one of its pillars then it came
tumbling down on Miaka. Tamahome, quick as a flash
swooped down, protecting the maiden. Tamahome started
to loose his strength. His body becomes closer and
closer to Miaka’s body. Her leg was wounded.
Suddenly, the third Suzaku Star Warrior, Nuriko
appeared. She is the mistress of the inner castle.
With her remarkable strength, she lifted the debris
with ease. She got rid of all the debris just before
they were squished to death. She kissed Tamahome on
his lips. This annoyed Miaka very much. Hotohori
found a letter on her upper right chest. She lived at
the palace as well. Miaka was washing the blood off
her skirt and when she removed her underwear Tamahome
came rushing in asking her to hide him. Nuriko saw
him and pulled him away. Miaka volunteered to be
Nuriko’s personal maid. Nuriko was giving Miaka a
hard time, both physically and emotionally. Miaka
went to the gazebo near the pond. Tamahome came
squirming. He mended her wounds. His eyes reflected
his sincerity and gentleness.
