Extra curricular activities

GBS students are catagorised into four houses. i.e. Rapti, Seti, Karnali and Trishuli. Almost all the ECA activities are conducted housewise. Students from classes 4 to 12 can take part in various events. Team and individual activities are held and prizes are given to those who come first in any event. This is how the school authority is encouraging students to take part in various events.
As a whole, what I can say is that students of this school are physically fit, mentally alert, emotionally balanced and socially harmonious. These features are the outcome of extra-curricular activities. - Dhruba

Potatoes in GBS meal

Potato is always present in the curry of GBS. It never misses a day, like the morning never misses the sun in the sky. Some of the potatoes have black scars. Yet they are always present in the curry and dominate the flavour of vegetables like cabbage, cauliflower, which are very much liked by the GBS family. Students cheer up and eat more when they hear that the curry is delicious with more amount of cauliflower and less amount of potatoes. - Shankar

Sound system in GBS gym: the problems

the round shape of the gymnasium - standing waves cause reverbation and distortion of sound.
a big empty space over the heads of the audience - causes howling sound
equipment - enough, but not the best brand or up-to-date model.
seating arrangement - audience too close to the stage.
lack of cooperation of Maintenance Dept.
unskilled manpower
I don’t want to blame a single person or a single section. After living in GBS as a family, it is our duty to try to help this institution in whatever way we can. We can develop the sound system with the equipment we have. What we need is devotion and a feeling of responsibility. - Manoj
