Here's a closer view of the body. This Bass is a '65 model. Smaller tailpiece, raised logo, wide control plate, bound neck, individual perloid tuners, gibson style pickup surrounds. Check the original 60's black plastic flatwounds. It came in an old tan coloured green felt-lined Stamford case. |

Early 1964 model 500/1. Small pickup surrounds, thin control panel, medium tailpiece, staple pickups, bound neck, raised logo, 22 frets. This one had a very lucky escape. It came from York in the UK back in '83. The previous owner intended to have it modified to fretless and refinished Candy-apple Red. Yikes! Fortunately he was booted from his band and the Bass went into storage until now. It is still with it's original Selmer case. |
