China - Far Future
China hasn't began it's aggressions against it's neighbours quite yet at this time of writing. The barometer with which to measure when this will be, can be almost directly monitored by their internal 'Labour Unrest", just starting now.
Oppressive public policy and social engineering will always eventually bring on rebellion. I have to laugh. The 'one child per family' policy has bred a few generations of little, spoiled Prince and Princesses who are used to getting the very best. They are highly educated, aggressive and not embracing that Manual of Mass Social Brainwashing written by the old, dead, warlord guy, Mao!
We need not concern ourselves with 'putting China in it's place' after they begin expanding it's territory. The greatest Communist government enemies lies within! They rank in the hundreds of millions and make up the main fabric of the populace. Economic sanctions are all that's neeeded.
All the propagation, for all these years, of the old, tired worn Mao Communist Doctrines have come to naught. Even an uneducated half-wit can see the prosperity existing in the economic 'Free Zones' where capitalism has had a chance to flower. The other 950 million 'Have Not' citizens aren't going to wait too much longer to shed the Communist yoke. I give it within five years of this writing! Class envy, Western envy and popular rebellion will be the order of the day.
A million man, well trained and armed military will be no match for a popular uprising of over a billion people! The leaders have been successful to date with mass public works projects to stir their populace to act in unison. They may divert their people's attention and purpose to territorial expansion for a while, but the hungry masses, due to international sanctions, will turn their displeasure and hardships into an overwhelming sword to rout out all things government and Communist.
Everytime you hear the phrase 'Labour Unrest' in reference to China, know that it is inching towards a popular rebellion. A hard, bloody rebellion but eventually successful.
God, the good people of China deserve to taste personal freedom after all those thousands of years of oppressive rule of every kind. I love the spirit of those kind, gentle people and enjoyed their ancient culture despite the blacked-out windowed sedans following me around for months!
Eventually, of course, China will be fully Democratic in the Western sense. The world will forgive their territorial transgressions especially as the billion population opens completely to the world markets. Then it will be a powerhouse of commerce and prosperity.
