Religion - Distant Future

During this period, from 2003 to 2005, it will be known through statistical studies that religions are beginning to increase in membership. More families will worship and embrace religious philosophy as a means to thwart the violence, sexual promuscuity and criminal, unethical behaviour in our society's youth. Yes, for the children.

Mainstream Western media will run anniversary 'Specials' which document in gruesome detail, the mass murder\ suicides of religious cults and continue to electrify our youth with images of sex, drugs and anti-social behaviour (Liberal 'if it feels good, do it' without consequence) in a last ditch effort to stem the movement. Also, we will see some very vocal protests by religious organizations, including court cases, against negative religion stereo-typing in TV shows and movies.

The TV Networks, Movie Industry and Record Companies will be challenged on every incident of religious bias by an umbrella organization of Churches which will result in those media companies writing themselves a Code of Ethics. It will come about from pressure from the Churches and the regulating Federal governments after three major court cases are lost by one major movie studio and two TV Networks.

Although in the High Schools and Colleges, religious students won't be seen as 'cool' by the majority of students, they will be recognized as more happy and stable by their classmates, which helps bring about a dramatic increase in people seeking spiritual answers later in life. With the demise of the anti-religious platform run covertly by the major media, after some sensational successful court cases, I might add, we shall see a religious rennaisance of sorts.

Key factors that bring about a change of attitude about living a spiritual lifestyle in both young and old alike will be the astronomical death toll from AIDS, the long-range social and economical effects of drug use and violent crime. People will realize that the demand for change will begin at home, not with their legislators.
