I realize that changes are hard to make. I know that many of you have have learned to dread smoke school. Some smoke school providers just make the certification test far too difficult to pass. It is like they have a quota system and 50% of all attendees taking the test must fail. You spend 3 days in the sun or in the snow or rain watching the smoke go from high to low and back and forth with no particular rhyme or reason. You know that you have a permit that states that you must keep it below 20% or you know you have a natural gas source with zero opacity.

Then you have to put up with confusing answer sheets, and people giving the test in too big of a hurry with equipment that sometimes gives false opacity readings. (I just missed one reading by 20% and so did 75 of us taking the test.) You put up with smoke school locations and settings that are just not conducive to reading opacity. They don't provide any contrasting background. You can not possibly read white smoke with white clouds or white haze in the background. They choose hot asphalt parking lots. There is no shade and no water to drink. You end up disappointed, frustrated, and sunburned to boot. Dag-gone it, you might even go out to smoke school and die of heatstroke. It just ain't worth it. I heard all of these complaints for about 25 years and I know dang well exactly how it is at other smoke schools. I have been there and done that, and I have no intentions of ever doing it again. Whitlow Enterprises conducts fast user friendly smoke school certification training on your site or at one of our scheduled locations. We provide customer service, nationwide certification, lower fees, free Cajun catfish lunches, and Fun. We conduct training in locations with shelters from the rain and snow. We are cost effective and EPA audited. Your employees will become experts at reading and evaluating low level opacity readings to maintain compliance with each state and EPA Federal Title V Five and other air quality permits. All training is conducted to meet requirements of 40 CFR 60 and related laws, permits, regulations, and requirements. We accept all major credit cards, company checks, personal checks, cash, purchase orders. The atmosphere at a Whitlow Smoke School is very relaxed, informal, and laid back. It is a good place to meet new friends and share job opportunities. It is also a great place to share troubles with understanding environmental protection and compliance problems.

• Finders fee/ referral plan- New- we are now paying a finders fee. We will pay 50 bucks cash to any individual, not the plant, but to any person who brings or sends any 5 new people from another plant to our smoke schools. They can come to the same school you attend or to any other school. Just ask the people to indicate who referred them on the bottom of the registration form.

Our fees are reasonable. We have special rates for plants and companies who want to train multiple attendees. We have special fees for fulltime students. We offer free training for family members of registered attendees .  You can attend one of our regular scheduled sessions or you can have smoke school at your plant or for your company plants in your region. 

You do not have to send all of your people at one time. We will run a session of smoke school until 3 PM if you request it. We can hold the first session at 8 AM and then every other hour. Send some to each session. Please send those who need the classroom to the first session. Please call us at 318-361-2355 if all of your people cannot attend the first session and you need to schedule more daily sessions.
