Comments: I think that, aside from her excellent basic skating qualities (i.e. edge, body line, flow, posture), her artistic ability is truly something at which all can marvel. To watch a skater and be transported (and for them to make it appear as if it is easy to do!) is something truly only a few great skaters have acheived. Even Michele's chief competitors on the ice, the ones who have "improved their artistic ability", are nowhere near as lovely to watch and interpretive as Michele. While watching, one is constantly aware of their effort. With Michele, you are only aware of the beauty and emotion of her skating - a rare talent!

She also maintians integrity and grace on and off the ice. I hope she wins olympic gold in 2002, but I also feel that the pressure on her to win is going to be astronomical.
