From the Woollard Family Bible, which probably qualifies as a "tome"
The carved brown leather covers, each one-half inch thick, are chased with gold leaf.
It is twelve and three-quarter inches long, nine and one-half inches wide and four and one-half inches thick and weighs about thirteen pounds. There are four pages of old family portraits at the back (awaiting identification).
The printing on the spine says:
