Furrify version 1

You're going to like this one. This Image Filter plug-in adds 3D fuzz to your surfaces. Simply apply the image filter in the Effects panel (through the LS-RT plugin), and then set the length of fuzz you want (in milimeters) in the Special Buffers setting in the Surfaces->Advanced panel.

NOTE: You must render using only 1 segment or Furrify will crash Lightwave. That means you have to set your render memory high enough.

Currently, Furrify is freeware. Not public domain, but free of charge. Just give credit where credit is due, and let me know if you're using it it. Thanks!

Known limitations: The length of fur is limited to 0 - 255 mm, because of the Special Buffer only being 8-bit. The fur doesn't cast shadows, doesn't show up in mirrors, and isn't antialiased. I recommend rendering at a higher resolution and resizing the image in, say, Photoshop, and maybe also applying a slight blur.
Also, the fur is generated randomly, so it doesn't look too great in animations. And what's more, it doesn't work with more than 1 thread. I'm working on a new version that should fix most of these problems.

Velvet shader

Here's a simple shader plug-in that arose from testing shader algorithms for Furrify 2. I thought it was cool enough on its own, so I'm releasing it for free. The above-left image is a cat with a small bump map on it. The one on the right is the same cat with the same bump map plus the Velvet shader.
Apply the shader to a surface, then set the Luminosity to about 95%. Play with Luminosity values from about 90% to 100% to see the range of shininess you can get.

These two images show the same cat with the Velvet shader but no bump map. The image on the left has Medium specularity, and the one on the right has Low specularity, just so you know that it takes specularity into account.

NEW: I have another velvet plug-in, which I think makes nicer velvet. Go see it here.
