Richard Chandler to George Parks - Power of Attorney - Know all men by these presents that whereas we Richard Chandler and Charity Chandler of the County of Franklin in the State of Georgia am seized in fee.....of and in part of that land situated in the County of Wilkes and State of North Carolina on the North side of the Yadkin River just above Buggaboo creek adjoining said River late in the possession of Thomas Parks Decd now know ye that we the said Richard Chandler and Charity Chandler his wife have made constituted and appointed and by these presents do make constitute and appoint George Parks of the County of Wilkes and State of North Carolina our true and lawful Attorney for us and in our Names to sell the said mentioned tract of land to such person or persons as he thinks fit to......grant and convey the same as our interest in the same absolutely in fee simple for such a price or sum of money and to such person or persons as he think fit and covenant and also for us and in our names to seal and execute and deliver such deeds covenants, conveyances Bargains and sales for the appointed sale and disposal of our part or Interest thereof with such......ratifying confirm......all such deeds conveyancer bargains and Sales whatsoever....Sealing....In witnesses whereof we have hereunto set our Seal this......day of May 1820.

Georgia - Franklin County - We Asa Allen and William Hammond were appointed this 23rd day of May 1820 by the Inferior court of said county to examine Charity Chandler wife of Richard Chandler named on within Power of Attorney to Examin her with regard to the same and being duly examined she saith she voluntarily and of her own accord makes here said power of Attorney jointly with her husband Richard Chandler to the within named George Parks given under our names on the day and date above written
