This Indenture made this tenth day of March One thousand eight hundred and thirteen Between Joseph Chandler and Nancy is wife of Franklin County and State of Georgia of this one part, and Richard Chandler of the same place of the other part; Witness that the said Joseph Chandler for and in consideration of the sume of four hundred dollars to him in hand paid by Richard Chandler at and before the Sealing and delivering of these presents this receipt of payment is hereby acknowledged, hath Bargained, and Sold, and do by these presents Bargain, Sell and Convey unto Richard Chandler all that tract or parcel of Land situated lying and being in the County of Franklin on the waters of Bear Creek, containing four hundred acres be the same more or less being part of a tract of 664 acres granted to Thomas Harrington Senior, butting and bounding......loweth; beginning on Chestnut? and thence N. 306 to a pine comes thense S 608? to a white oak corner thence N306 to a pine corner, thence S 602 to a red oak corner, thence S30W to a maple corner on a brance, thence down said brance to the fork thereof, thence up the North fork of a branch to a white oak comes thence to the beginning corner, unto the said Richard Chandler together with all and Singular the rights priviledges and advantages thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining; to have and to hold and occupy and enjoy the same and the said Joseph Chandler and his wife. Shall and will warrant and forever defend the premises aforesaid unto the said Richard Chandler and his heirs and assigns forever from the claim of themselves their heirs and all and every other person whatsoever unto the said Richard Chandler and to his heirs and forever. In Witness whereof the said Joseph Chandler and Nancy his wife have hereunto set their hands and seals this day and year first written.
