Okay, another week... not SOOOO bad. Not much to say 'cept that I'm tired. But all of last week went ok - still training and getting used to things over at OMP.
Naturally, the weekend was greatly needed. After work on Friday, I headed over to Jean Shu's place to hang out while waiting to attend a Young Adult Ministry event at a church. So tired was I that I literally 'crashed' on her couch for about an hour, to the chagrin of "mao mao", her cat. My top was covered with cat hair for the rest of the night, methinks. Attending the Y.A. event besides myself and Jean were Tony (back for a visit from L.A.) and Chianne. It was pretty neat - gotta meet a number of people and see how ministry and Catholic communities have helped others. Hopefully, this may mean something more in the near future with Watermark and the rest of the Diocese of San Jose.
Later that night, we went up to Palo Alto to meet up with Ming, Hank, Kevin and Isabel (the latter three having just come from a U2 concert) in order to celebrate Ming's post-tax season 'festivities'. While all good and everything, Ming proceeded to down a little more ethanol than many of us were expecting. 'Naturally', he later needed assistance, especially in the 'way to home' process. (Ah, that's two under my belt ^_^...)
The next day, Saturday, Peter invited a bunch of people to BBQ at his place in the late afternoon. A whole slew of people were there including former Bellboys John Louie and Young Kim. Also making special guest appearances were my sister Josie and Steve's girlfriend, Peggy. A late-night go at Taboo was sure to get them to know the Watermark group a little better. Unfortunately, this evening prevented me to get a chance to see Yu-Ming with his biweekly visits from Mooville Medical School... perhaps another time.
Sunday was mainly a relaxing day as well... I got to see my old friend Samir who I haven't seen for a bit. Alas, our friend Meena couldn't make it for lunch. Hopefully, my 'catching up' time with old friends will still continue. (I'd really like to see those who I haven't seen in awhile...)

Well, it seems as if I've been truly lazy about this online log of mine. *Sigh*... I really should try to keep up. So what to say, what to say? Since my previous entry over 2 weeks ago, quite a bit has happened. I've had a few more interviews and one of them has now netted me a temporary position at a company called Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceuticals, Pharmaceutical Society Group America-Drug Delivery Division (or OMP, PSGA-DDD for short) -- what caught my attention was the fact that this company is currently a 'section' of the oh-so-huge Johnson & Johnson. I've only done six days so far and while it has been slow, I'm hoping for things to pick up. I'm eager to see what this "Associate QC Scientist" position I hold will fully entail.
What has changed my lifestyle in all of this is that the company is located in Redwood City! This, naturally, made my final decision to move down from Berkeley to San Jose more logical... and at the same time, more 'ultimate' or complete, for lack of a better phrase. I shall miss Berkeley... being under my parents' roof, while comfortable in its own right, has made me long for days of independence even much more so. However, I feel this move is logical and, more so, NEEDED. I suppose this time to "retreat" back into a shell will give me the time to think and rethink about what I want to do. I think I've come to the conclusion I will be going to graduate school for public health (as many friends may know) - but I have yet to feel that final urge or push... but I'm awfully close.
While it's great to be down in San Jose, I know my time with Berkeley friends has now pretty much been severely limited. While I know I wasn't the best "weekend person" with them, I know my opportunities to spend time with them, including the friends I made at Seekers (the Catholic group I am/was a part at Newman Hall at UC Berkeley), will be few and far between the usual things I do down in San Jose.
Anyhow, this new lifestyle has also forced me to consider going to bed earlier; I get up at 7 AM now. Ugh.... so unusual compared to my lifestyle at Gamers. Oh well, off to bed I suppose. Hopefully, I'll update this more often. With this past week and weekend being Holy Week and Easter, I'd like to think of my time down in San Jose as a... "rebirth" (as another friend put it in her own way) of my own.
Okay, off to bed really! Night-o!
