Melisande: ::Well there was no part for her in this... nor was there ever really. She listened a bit more then turned. Her pale face ever grave and sorrowful as she moved away. The wind blowing her black curls around as she moved away from all three of them melting into the shadows but not yet fully leaving.::

Gabrielle: ::Gabrielle nodded to J's comment, before looking to her father to hear his own. a future, as a family? Well that didn't seem quite likely, especially with the war going on. Still, Gabrielle listened intently with her fathers words. And then he had to mention why Michael wasn't here, and speak of the Gods... :: Now you know Michael would be here if he could.. and you'd be thankful he wasn't.. because you know of his hatred, and anger towards you as is. As for the Gods? They are angered, not for the reason I have not 'slain' you.. but for the reason that I have allowed fallen beings onto holy ground. The very *same* ground that keeps getting taunted on being burned down by the leader of the fallen.. ::She shook her head:: As long as this war continues.. you know as well as I, that these .. 'bumps', will turn into mountains. And I know, that there will come a point when you will turn back into your older ways. I know this. There is no preventing it, especially with Raziel speaking with you every night. ::she let out a slight sigh::

Gabriel:
He narrowed his eyes and for a moment it looked like he would enter a rage again. "Excuse me, but do you think the slack I cut for Gabrielle also exists for you? Be quiet or I will quiet you." He said threateningly. Gabriel paused for a long moment and listened to his daughter. "I am not afraid of your husband, and I would kill him if it wouldn't hurt you to much." He growled. "Leave Raziel out of this, she has done nothing to you, she only wants what is best for you as I do." He let his wings unfurl, and grumbled to himself quietly for a long moment. Finally he spoke again, taking each of them in, silently. "Gabrielle, you insist on the defense of this 'holy ground' but all I see is a confused little girl missing her parents and holding to false truths...they will bend you to their will and use you, I just want you to be in your proper place."

Justicar: ::he'd have to arch a brow in retrospect to the exchange. but a slight shif to fhsi shoulders was given to reset the denim over hsi shoulders, leaving those eyes tapering across the duet before his lips curled a touch at the rage that was building within him before arching his right brow in the poise and practice that had been given in everyday as a mortal that he ahd defied and come to overtake the cocky ones that proved themselves so arrogant. Yet his eyes remained steady at the narrowing twist before adding a nod in his direction with a softened laugh:: I don't expect you to cut me the same slack I am not your blood family. Yet I have the ability to voice my opinion as I wish just as you do to exist.  So you are excused.  As for what you believe is her proper place? I think your "little girl" has grown up enough to make her own "adult" decisions.  As her father.. At least have enough respect to hodl to that.

Gabrielle: ::Gabrielle couldn't help but growl at the very THOUGHT of him killing her husband.. much less vocalizing it. And then he spoke of Raziel again, defending her with that 'she only wants what's best' bit again.. shaking her head, she defended herself in reply:: .. She wants me dead father.. you know that.. or has she washed you of such a thought?? And believe me, there is no false truth here. Yes, I *do* miss my parents, what child wouldn't!?.. and yet, you claim the Gods 'use' me.. this *is* my proper place. This *is* my fate, my destiny, my pupose.. I can willfully accept that. Did you honestly think that we'd be the only beings created here? .. ::she shook her head:: .. you may speak that all you want is my welfare.. but, I can still see it in your eyes.. the only thing you want, is the tear. You want it for your own purpose, and yet, you have no understanding of it's true nature and IT'S purpose. I only wish you could see, and feel what I do. Maybe then, you'd change your mind.. instead of continuing this conniption fit.

Gabriel: "You have no right to lecture me, both of you." He stepped away from them and sighed, no matter what he said, no matter what he did it never changed anything. But there was one thing he would defend "Raziel wouldn't hurt a hair on your head ..." He promised. "Don't think I would use you, you are still MY daughter, and I still love you. I'm not trying to win you over just because of what you possess inside you, I want you to join me because you are my flesh and blood." He spread his wings to their full length and began to lift into the air. "Don't ever lecture me again about Leeloo, about my reasons, or about Raziel. As your father I know I am RIGHT!" He said in a blind arrogance. Eventually he would lift further into the sky and let the thermals catch his wings, like he was about to leave. But no instead he hovered there for a long moment, quietly watching her. Maybe from this distance it was hard to see the expression on his face was embattled, the darker side of him told him to punish her, to kill the whelp and make her do what he wanted, and the side that was her father restraiend the other side.

Justicar: ::That, he knew to be a niuance and truth that he ahd seen in even hsi own family. In that he'd curl his lips a touch in the belief of that ture love harvested there. It had existed in each of his acts but the persuasion and intent it had remained. Though his smirk rose up at that thought before he'd shift his right brow up only momentarily ad returned to let hsi expresson return to calm. A slight flicker of his eyes were given at final expression before his eyes locked to Gabrielle, giving a look of true compassion as he knew the feeligns and the grating contrast now moreso than he had.  Yet with that somethigns trange rose up.. A smile. In that moment he knew the simple barrier between them. The only thign that kept them turly from being a family. The ideals that he ahd forsaken and the ideals she clung to. despite the agreement to disagree he coudls till see that tender love that lay within each of them for each other as father and daughter... and that.. did make him smile::

Gabrielle:
::Gabrielle watched her father as he spoke so arrogantly further.. shaking her head as she watched him ascend into the air. gods how she wished that that promise would hold. But, Raziel was far too untrustworthy to allow such a promise to follow through. Maybe it was he who didn't quite know what she was capable of. it was possible she kept him blinded to all she did, and possibly wanted to do. Gabrielle just sighed deeply.. her wings folding over shoulders, before looking down to the ground in thought. And just as she looked down, she looked over to J, offering a slight smile in return to his possible understanding to her emotion. Gods, why did this have to be so hard!?::

Gabriel: He grumbled, returning to Raziel would not be a good thing for ihm right now, if he did that well she would obviously have a chat with him, and although he couldn't avoid it he would delay it the longest he could. He returned to the two of them, and smiled. "I'm sorry... I know I haven't been the nicest father recently." And he glared at J just wishing for him to say one word. His hand clenched into a fist. Red eyes fell upon his daughter again. "Gabrielle, I am not sorry for starting this war, and I won't let it end, but I won't let you be hurt in it I promise."

Justicar: ::He didn't speak one word towards it. admission left him perfeclty silent. to even say it and own up to it was all he coudls ay or do. with that he'd ease on it and wait before drawing back and leaving a single kiss towards Gabrielle's cheek allowing he rthe closure the time and the presence needed with family before dissipating into the night::

Gabrielle: ::Gabrielle simply looked up to her father, smiling to the kiss, as he left.. and keeping a focused stare at her father.. :: .. you know you can't keep that promise father.. ::a slight smile came over her as she looked down a moment :: I am the Queen of all that you fight. ::shaking her head softly:: There will always be someone out to harm me, and not you, nor Michael, can prevent me from all harm.. ::though, it would be nice.. it just wasn't possible.. and gabrielle knew it. and wouldn't you know it! before she could have a tender moment, the Gods would scream out. This time, they made it WELL known through the gardens, as Zeus' voice bellowed through the gardens like a storm on the front. Gabrielle winced, as wings spanned out to lift.. looking to her father, as she whispered softly:: .. i must go father.. but know, that.. i do still hold a place for you, right next to mother.. ::she pointed to her chest.. she wanted to say it so badly.. that 'i love you dad'.. but it just wasn't possible.. not now. Instead, gabrielle took flight like a bullet released, towards the palace to face their wrath. No doubt, gabriel would hear every bellowing word towards her.. ::

Gabriel: He sighed, and watched her leave him here in this place. He wouldn't leave, not for awhile instead he jsut sat under her favored oak until late into the night. He would return home to a very angry Raziel who questioned him as to what he was doing, where he had been, and all that jazz. When he explained everything, well .. Gabriel had a rather cruel chat with his Raziel, and as cruel as it was, Gabriel still loved her, he always would love his Raziel. Yet in the back of his mind, he remembered his daughter and the words she spoke, but he didn't feel sorry, not for one second, of his actions. He believed and always would believe he had the right cause.
