Biography on "Bo Duke"
"I heard they wanted a southern person, period. They didn't want an actor putting on a southern accent. If they did, they could have found one in New York or Los Angeles. So I didn't take a bath and didn't shave and looked really lousy, which is not what a southern man looks like - but it's what a California casting producer thinks he looks like. I went in with a can of beer, didn't remove my hat, and put my feet on the desk while I waited for my audition. I told them I was born in New York State but had been in Atlanta since I was two, working on a farm, and they loved it. They didn't find out any different until I did my third show." -- John Schneider "Tom and I have a lot of fun messin' around with the 'General Lee,' the car in the show, even when the cameras aren't turning. We both drive all the stunts you see us drive, except stuff that's off the ground, or where we'd have to roll over." -- John Schneider John Schneider plays the younger, more irrational Duke cousin in The Dukes of Hazzard. The show was his big break in the entertainment industry. He has recently starred in The Family Channel movie The Night of the Twisters, a movie produced by FaithWorks Production Incorporated, his new production company that is devoted to making quality family films. When John was 16 (two years before being cast as Bo Duke), he attended the Georgia School of High-Performance Driving. He did this "to learn to race-drive, just in case I'd ever be up for a part in movies or TV where I'd need to know. And the first big job I get, I did need to!" Check out John Schneider's brand new FaithWorks Productions Web Site !! This site includes a Dukes of Hazzard page with reunion info, original pictures, and info on a Behind the Scenes Reunion in Hazzard video that is available through FaithWorks. There is also information on John's music career, and on FaithWorks in General (pun intended).
