Oekaki drawing is really fun, expecially when you know how to use the tools. =) So here is an outline and description of nearly everything.

Some extra things to know:
Keep in mind that almost all the buttons on the toolbar change when you click on them. Also, by right clicking a color in the pallete, and then right clicking with your mouse onto another color, you can duplicate it. (Hold shift and then click on changed color to restore the default color.) Also, you can right click any color in your picture to select that color (think eyedropper tool).

Useful keyboard shortcuts: "+" to Zoom in/ "-" to Zoom out/ "Ctrl+Z" (or "Ctrl+U") to Undo/ "Ctrl+Alt+Z" (or "Ctrl+Y") to Redo/ "Spacebar+mouse dragging" to move view of canvas while zoomed in. Finally, to change the line width, "Ctrl+Alt+mouse dragging". (there may be more out there...go find them. ^_^)

Oekaki Tools:
[Button 1] Pen, Watercolor, Text> Draw with a solid pen, a soft watercolor brush, or add text.
[Button 2] Tone, ShadeOff, HLight, Dark> These are "effects" that'll be covered better elsewhere. (experimenting is the best way to grasp their uses)
[Button 3] Oval, Rectangle (filled or outlined)> Draw the shapes onto canvas.
[Button 4] Copy, Antialias, reverseLR, reverseUL, lie> With these features, you select the part of the picture you wish to be affected (ie flipped, etc.)
[Button 5] Freeline, Straight, Bezie> freeline is normal, straight lets you work with only straigt lines while bezie lets you make curves.
[Button 6] Normal,Mask, Reverse (Mask), And, Div> Masks are very useful, the default color that cannot be colored over is black. Reverse does the opposite: it makes only that color affected by use of tools. Change the mask color by right-clicking the 'mask' button while the color you want masked is selected.
[RGB and Alpha bars] Change the color by adjusting the amount of red, green, and blue. The alpha bar is for opacity & tones.
[Clear] Clicking this clears the canvas. If you clear by mistake, click undo (up top) to retrive your picture.
[Redo] & [Undo] redoes what you previously undid (so if you clicked undo to erase a line, this will put it back). Undo takes away your last action on the canvas.
[Paint] Save time by using this to fill in large gaps with the seleted color. (Be sure that you lines are closed to confine the color.)
[Send] After you finish drawing, press send once. You will soon be back at the board after the loading is complete (bigger pics take longer). On my oekaki currently, you won't be sent to a page to comment right away and will have to click the comment button near your pic. You will receive an error message without if your online connection is lost or for whatever reason your pic cannot be sent. Sometimes you can just wait alittle bit and try again; however, don't press the send button repeatedly since that doesn't help. >O_o<
