Q: What is selective breeding? How is it different from hexed breeding?
A: Hexed breeding is hacking the codes of a breed file to make it into a new breed. Selective breeding is breeding petz that aren't hexed for several generations to create new, "natural" breeds that breed true (meaning their pups/kittens fit the standards).

Q: How do you selective breed?
A: I usually start with two catz (or dogz) and breed them until I get a male and a female that look alike. Then I breed the male and the female until I get two kittens(pups) that look like them (This can take over 50 tries). It gets easier in later generations. On the seventh generation, I breed 4 perfect females and 4 perfect males to upload here for downloading.

Q: Will these breedz work in Petz 3(Petz 4/PetzII)?
A: First of all, they really aren't like hexed breedz. You download .pet files for you to put into your Adopted Petz folder not .cat or .dog files for Resource. Since they aren't hexed, these petz will work in either Petz 3 or 4 but not Petz II.

Q: Why are you against hexing?
A: I'm not. I have my own preferences. I prefer not having hexed breedz. Selective breeding is what I enjoy. It is a very neat feature of Petz 3 & 4. If you are unfamiliar with "hexing," it is hacking or altering files for new effects.

Q: Do you own any hexed dogz/catz?
A: I owned a cat I hexed to look like my real cat once, but all my petz were deleted accidentally, so I have no hexed petz. I also have no hexed breedz, clothes, or toyz

Q: How do you hex?
A: Well, being a selective breeder and never actually hexing besides a short experimental period, I know virtually nothing about hexing. If anyone knows of a site with a good hexing tutorial, I'll gladly link it here.

Q: I can't believe you support over-breeding!
A: Let's get one thing straight. Petz is a game. Breeding is a feature in the game. To get new breedz, you sort of have to breed, and by inbreeded a much lower number of petz are born. Real life is a different issue. Every pet I ever owned was a rescued stray and spayed/neutered.

Q: You inbreed?!?
A: Yes. That's actually the way real life breeds are created, and pretty much the only way to get new non-hexed Petz Breedz. It keeps the files small as well as lowering the number of petz needing homes.

Q: Do you forward time? Isn't it dangerous?
A: Yes I do. It would literally take months, even over a year to make selective breedz without it. Time forwarding doesn't cause stuck pregnancies if you do it properly. Just never go BACKWARD in time when a pet is pregnant. Changing your computer's date, however, can affect other programs, so use this method at your own risk!

Q: Are you against Petz abuse? Why don't you have any anti-abuse banners?
A: Petz fighting and abuse is stupid, but it is also stupid to dwell on. There are many more serious issues in the world, and this site is for Petz Selective Breeding, nothing else. I don't need a lot of extra things slowing my site and cluttering it.
