| Hello Parents, It's been a while since our last newsletter, but it is now time to put summer behind us and get our teaching time started again. For the next two months the children will be working on learning their phone numbers, address, and how to tie their shoes. You may have notice your child wanting to tie their own shoes or at least try to, if not please encourage them to try. |
| Field Trip We will be taking a field trip to Mike's Farm on October 15. The children will get to see a show in the barn, take a hay ride to the pumpkin patch and pick out a pumpkin, and see how apple cider is made and taste it. The cost of the field trip will be $6.00 for children over 1 years old and for parents. I would like to collect all money no later than Friday October 12, for the children and any parents that plan on attending this trip with us. I do this trip every year, and every year we have a good time. The Move As you all know we will be moving into our house next month. My last day for child care will be Friday October 26. We close on our house Monday Oct. 29, so I will go on leave from October 29 until November 9. I hope to be able to start child care no later than November 12 at the new house. There is a process I have to go through to become state licenced out in town to do child care, and I'm hoping these two weeks will allow enough time for this process, so I will phone all parents to let you know if I will be able to re-open on Nov. 12. I am doing all I can do while on base to prepare myself for the process out in town to at least get a head start. Please have altenate child care for these two weeks, I will try to help you find child care, but it is really up to you to have a back-up provider. I will try to give you three names of providers for you to call to set up child care for those two weeks. As it looks all of my parents will move with me, meaning keep their child in my child care once I move. As I mentioned before I will pick the children up from pre-school once we move but it will be your responsibility to get them to school. As it is right now, all of my pre-schooler's parents work schedule allows them to take their child to pre-school. I must say I am very pleased and happy that you parents want to keep your child in my care even though it means you have to travel a little further. I will give your child the best of care. Contracts Please, take the time to read over your contracts to go over the day care policys. If you can no longer find your copy I have a copy that you can look over here in the day care. Reminder, You pay me to provide child care for your child while you work, attend school, etc. so if your day ends before of by 4:30pm please be here to pick your child up. By this time, our teaching time is over and children are just playing outside, doing puzzles, or reading books waiting for parents to arrive. So please don't feel that your child is missing out. Show -N -Tell We will now have a new day for show-n-tell, instead of Fridays it will now be on Mondays, since there is no pre-school and this way the children don't have to take their toy to school with them. Please honor this and have your child to bring toys only on this day, and Please, no toy guns. |
