By: Julie E. Czerneda

SYNOPSIS - Courtesy of Julie Czerneda

As individuals, the alien and secretive Clan might just be the most powerful
species in the Trade Pact. Unfortunately, their power is linked to a merciless
competition between their sexes. Only one member of the Clan holds the key to
their species' continued survival, and if Sira doesn't learn the truth about
herself and the Clan's plans for her fast enough,
both she and the Clan are doomed.

REVIEWS

My review:

Thousand is Julie's first published science fiction novel, and an astoundingly good one at that,
"A Thousand Words for Stranger" creates a detailed and highly believable universe.
With Sira, who seems like she could be the girl next door; and Jason Morgan,
a dark, mysterious stranger, Julie has given life to two characters that you
can truly feel for - characters whose life-stories are more interesting in themselves
than half the science fiction writing on the market today. And the journey to learn
those life stories is what makes Thousand a truly marvelous novel, full of action,
but with character development beyond anything I have read in a long while.

This is definitely not a book to miss.
