Born in Toronto, Canada on November 30, 1968 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Mark is the first of two sons with parents Edward and Krystina Galaszkiewicz. Both parents immigrated from Poland in the early 60's. Raised in the High Park area of Toronto, the Galaszkiewicz family eventually moved to the Cooksville area of Mississauga in the early 80's. Mark attended St. Alfred's secondary school and continued onto Philip Pocock Catholic High School. After Graduation he spent one year at the University of Toronto, Erindale College before finishing his degree at McMaster University in Hamilton. In Feburary 1999, Mark married Sandra Torres-Torija and moved to Burlington, Ontario where they are now are raising their two sons, Aden and Brandon. In the summer of 2001, the family visited Leon, Mexico, pictures of the trip are below. Sandra and her mother flew down while Mark drove a K car 45 hours to Mexico.
