Blackfoot Maiden

I once met a maiden, a long time ago,
Good friends we became, and our hearts were aglow,
We laughed and we cried, and we rolled in the snow,
Our dreams took us on, where? only destiny would know,
We loved one another, but, as fate was to show,
Together forever was just not to be,
Laughter and love was to be our great glee,
But this love was to be, from a distance you see,
Though our love still holds firm as an old she oak tree,
We love not as lovers, but as friends for you see,
She has found herself looking in the eyes of another,
Now I love her forever, but now like a brother,

Bob and Linda, good luck. May God guide you both.
