I have always been a lead vocalist singing all types of music since 1973. In 1989, I finally trusted my instincts and concentrated on all types of blues from traditional country and classic blues to modern day electric and original blues. I also play rhythm guitar.i hvae performed everywhere from New York To New Orleans
I am looking for steady band work. I will,of course, travel. I have a passionate and powerful, true contralto voice-and glide easily between all styles. I can belt it out , or sing it sweetly.- I have been a bandleader(I formed and was lead vocalist/rhythm guitarist of the Cat Island Blues Band), Sat in with Tom Larsen,Big Jack Johnson, and Bob Margolin.I was also a featured lead vocalist with Krypton City Blues Revue. and have peformed with Bob Noble and the Blue Voodoo Band.
I have been a lead vocalist for at least seven different bands. I am willing to jump on board if you need me. I have been personally very influenced by Bessie Smith,Albert King,Robert Johnson, Bonnie Raitt, John Lee Hooker, John Sebastian, and many others. I have also been very influenced by great musicians such as Jack Bruce, Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood.
