Note from author: Most if not all of my information has been aquired from other sources most of all the Sporting News Baseball Register and the Lahman database. Baseball1 and Lahman have become one of the most important sources of baseball information on the net. The goal of my work is to supply users of OOTP and other games which use the database information which is not directly supplied. I have devised my own methods to assess and transform the information to make it suitable for use in OOTP and have enjoyed doing so. In doing so alot of time has been put in to this work and alot of time is needed to improve upon it (and alot still needs to be done). Instead of releasing an incomplete version I took a little extra time to make it as functional and correct as possible for a 1st version.

Missing Years List - This is a list in text format (CSV convertable) of the years each player (by ID) has missed during his career. It goes by fielding stats so some players may be listed for years when they did play. Basically all you have to do when creating a season is look at this list for the year your doing and manually import these players from the Lahman Database with the 1st year they play after the one your importing.

Full Master File - This is the master file I use as my base to collect information. It is not compatable with the game but is able to be used to gain pertinent information you may want for OOTP. From this file you can see which of my data is researched (CAP team names) and what isn't. Also includes information which is currently not included in the Lahman Database such as original teams, years, missing bio information and even Nicknames.

Further down the line...

Sooner or later I will be adding full season files like the 196 one listed above... The goal eventually is to create a full online database of the 20th century of baseball, of course on a real website. with more information you can shake a stick at. When this project is completed for the majors I plan to move on to include top prospects who never made it to the majors. I want to have my links to other pages from my master file and basically get really creative and cool...I come up with details as I get to them...
