Auction Terms
These terms apply to all auctions run by gameaddict2000@yahoo.com. These are additional terms that must be followed in addition to the eBay User Agreement.
1: Item consideration: I try to hand out as much information as possible about the items I sell. It is important to know what you are bidding on. If you are unsure as to exactly what the item is, you should contact the seller before you place a bid. Please keep in mind that your bid automatically becomes a legally binding contract should you be the high bidder at close of auction. That means you cannot back out of your bid. For example: You place bids on two different listings featuring the same item, win both listings, and then complete only one transaction. You should back out of your bid only for emergency purposes. If I have personally left you negative feedback in the past for an item I posted, that means you are banned from bidding on any of my items in the future. If you place a bid under these circumstances, your bid will be cancelled and eBay will be contacted.
2: Payment methods: You should also review payment options before you bid. I accept Cash (At your risk), Personal Checks and Money Orders, as well as payment made thru PayPal or eBay Online Payments, where you may use a major credit card or your checking account. All payments should be made immediately and must be in form of U.S. Dollars. I am not responsible for payments that are lost in shipping. Personal Checks may need to clear through my bank before I ship any items to you. PayPal payments are to be sent to gameaddict2000@yahoo.com. If your online payment is pending, I will hold your item until the transaction is complete. Also, if you request your item to be shipped to an address that is different from a confirmed address, the entire transaction will become your responsibility. If you are not in the United States, you may send an online payment ONLY. I must receive your payment within 7 business days after close of auction unless we have a different agreement.
3: Bid cancellation: You may cancel a bid you placed for emergency purposes only, or if you give me a valid excuse before the auction ends. I reserve the right to cancel your bid at any time for any reason.
4: Shipping terms: Please know that your bid does not include additional charges for shipping. Unless shipping is free or included, you will be required to pay the shipping charge listed, or you may choose an alternative shipping method. Any shipping charges that are posted are to the United States only. If you are an international bidder, you will be required to pay actual shipping charges, which are generally higher. Should you need a quote on actual shipping, E-Mail me with your shipping address and the items you are interested in. I will then E-Mail you with the actual shipping charge. Insurance and Delivery Confirmation charges are usually included. Additional Insurance is available at your cost. If you wish to receive a quote on shipping without Insurance or Delivery Confirmation, Please E-Mail me. Keep in mind that any items that are shipped without Insurance or Delivery Confirmation are shipped at your risk and sold AS-IS. If you have won multiple listings, please E-Mail me for your new shipping quote.
5: Defective merchandise: Unless an item is listed AS-IS or delivered without insurance, your item will be covered by my 30 day "Free From Defects" Guarantee, with the exception of clearance items and NES Systems which are sold AS-IS. Your 30 Day Guarantee will begin at date of shipment, or whenever you receive your item for local buyers. Should you receive a defective item, E-Mail me with a brief detail about the item you purchased. I will send you a refund, offer to repair the item or give you a credit good toward future purchases, whichever you choose. You may or may not be required to ship any defective items back to me at your cost or mine before I send a refund, and you may or may not be required to pay shipping and/or seller fees should you return an item in working condition.
6: Feedback in detail: The number next to my screen name is feedback. If you click on that number you will see a listing of feedback that others have posted from previous listings. I generally post positive feedback for you after I receive your payment, and I ask you to do the same for me when you receive your item. I may post negative feedback if your payment is not received or if your payment is extremely late. I may also post negative feedback if your back out of your bid without providing a valid reason. Just remember that your feedback represents your reputation and a bidder, and also as a seller. When I place a bid, I post positive feedback for a good transaction and a good item. I post negative feedback when I receive an item in poor condition, and also if I dont receive the item at all, or I receive the item extremely late. I am proud of my feedback. 7: Notification methods: If you are the high bidder at close of auction, I will notify you via E-Mail right away. Included will be your bill and instructions on where to send payment. You must reply to this E-Mail within 3 business days. Otherwise I may consider your bid abandoned, and you may lose your position as high bidder. I am not responsible for E-Mail lost through your mail server. Bid abandonment can earn you negative feedback. I also reserve the right to contact eBay about your abandoned bid.
8: Trading items: Occasionally I offer a credit in cash amount to buyers who want to trade any items they might have for any items I have posted. You can usually find a list of the items I want the most in my About Me page. If you wish to trade any items (even items that are not listed as items I am looking for), E-Mail me with what you have and what condition your items are in. I will E-Mail you soon afterwards with any interest and a quote on how much your item is worth towards any of my listings, or I may offer to purchase any items from you if you have not won any of my listings. Any trading agreements must be made before the auction ends, otherwise you may be required to pay the actual amount of your bid. You may also be required to ship any items of trade to me at your cost, but usually I will give you a quote on what your item is worth, including shipping. If I receive an item that is not as described to me, the entire transaction may be void or altered at my discretion or yours, and your items may be returned at your cost and at your discretion.
These terms are subject to change without notice. By bidding on any of my listings, you verify that you agree with these terms. You also verify that you agree with the terms applied in the eBay User Agreement.
