- Today I had my first hands-on feel of the game, and all I can say is wow. The game has a totally different feel than the original SMB2 and the Super Mario All-stars version of the game, and more of a Yoshi's Story feel. It's no wonder Nintendo decided to modify this game because there's a whole lot of things they could do to show off the Game Boy's capabilities. Here are some off the new special effects the game uses. Scaling: I personaly think the game uses this more than any other effect combined. They use it ony enemys,(both sprite and enemy enlargement) vegetables,(the big ones) items,(the hearts especially) as well as some objects as well. Trust me, it only makes the game more exciting. Rotation: This one makes the game seem more real. Although I was expecting more of this, it really focuses on the large enemies. When you throw them, they spin(also called rotation.) In fact when you knock out them out, they rotate off the screen Very amusing. Advanced Mode 7: This one isn't used as much as the other effects. The ferris wheel shown on the right is an example of this.(I personaly do not know how it is an example, but they say so.) ) |
