As an intense Goldeneye fan, the premise of a spy game is very enticing to me. I waited and waited, and it was finally released and I bought it mere days later. The game itself is very good but the biggest drawback was the control; every time I wanted Gabe to run away from something I would basically have to run a straight path. If I really needed to turn or get behind some cover, I have to stop, turn and then run. Another problem that I believe plagues most games today, is the needlessly elaborate storyline. I can't tell you how many times it lost me, for one, I had no idea how I ended up fighting some armored guy with a flame-thrower that apparently knows me. On the other hand figuring my way through enemy-filled buildings and finding the boss' weak point was always a plus. Even though I played Metal Gear Solid some time after finishing this, I say it could never compare to MGS. Yet, it isn't the worst substitute.
