Sun Men (Rall-Eptah)
Sun Men are a proud race of humanoids that inhabit desert regions in small tribe-like villages. Sun Men are a fierce people as well, they are quick to anger and quick to take insult. They are noted for not being friendly to any other race, this doesn’t mean they are inapproachable-Sun Men are offended easily by an outsiders mannerisms. Sun Men are called thus due to their fleshy fringe that surrounds their heads. This fringe can change colors and will do so in accordance to the respective Sun Man’s mood. When in a good mood, the Sun Man’s fringe is yellow, form there it progresses to orange, red and finally purple when the Sun Man is extremely angry. Sun Men fight with a pair of curved swords that they wield to deadly effect. Sun Men are extremely fast and dexterous, gaining +2 to initiative dice and two attacks per round.
For every 10 Sun Men encountered, there will be a stronger leader-type in their ranks. This leader type is double the normal hit points of a full strength Sun Man, gains +1 attack per round and fights as a double strength Sun Man. For every 30 there is a triple strength Sun Man; triple the hits, +2 attacks, and attacks as a triple strength Sun Man. Sun Men are a proud people and fight to the death on most occasions.
Lifestyle:
The Rall-Eptah live in smallish bands that fish and farm to support themselves. Rall-Eptah build brick and wood houses that they take long hours decorating in bright colors. Most Sun Men live for about 120 years unless they die from combat (very likely). The Females of the race are similar to the males in all respects save for a slighter build and less coloring in the Sun Man’s fringe. The women are equals in Rall-Eptah socieity, and share in all duties including fighting. Rall-Eptah are more prone to individual combat and small skirmishes than all-out war. If their village is attacked, then all will take up arms to defend the town. They seldom travel and have little trust in others not of their race, even other tribes of Sun-Men are suspect.
Description:
Sun Men are 6-7 ½ feet tall with slender builds. Their skin is varying
shades of gray except for their fringe, which is very brightly colored. They
have flat faces and large eyes that are partially covered by their eyelids. They
have no body hair. Sun Men wear a brightly colored skirt and cloth belt where
their finely crafted swords are kept. During colder times, the Sun Men will wear
coats made out of skins, these too are brightly colored.
