FFX:  Is it the best Final Fantasy?

Squaresoft has produced the best Final Fantasy yet.  Final Fantasy 10 is the best Final Fantasy ever created, say the nice people from the IGN message boards.  Final Fantasy 10 is much different from the other Final Fantasies out there.  There are much better graphics, the game play is phenomenal, the music is great, and all around it is a phenomenal game.

Game Play:

The game play is great!  It takes around 60 hours to beat with the side quests, and about 45 hours without the side quests.  The side quests are where you go and build up your ultimate weapons, collect aeons, or play some good old games of Blitzball.
You play the role of a guy name Tidus.  He ends up deciding to guard a young summoner named Yuna.  You and several other characters go through the colorful world and build your levels in order to defeat Tidus's father.   Tidus's father is Jecht, also known as Sin.  The summoner must deliver the final summoning in order to destroy Sin.
There is a new way of building up your levels in this Final Fantasy.  Instead of just wondering around on the world map fighting enemies to build up your levels, you gain spheres by defeating your enemies.  With these spheres you go to a special grid, and from there you choose your characters' strengths and weaknesses.  You can choose if you want your character to be strong but not very magical, or weak and have extremely powerful magic, or you can customize your character to be somewhere in between.
Also a new feature of FFX is the customization of weapons and armor.  This can help out a lot.  You can customize your armor so that your character is fire proof and ice proof, as well as adding 30% more hp to your character. The best armor customization is the 1 mp cost.  This comes in handy with costly magic spells.  You can customize your weapons so that your limit breaks fill up faster, you get twice as much money, AP, or you do twice as much damage.
Did you hate reading all those long stories in the previous Final Fantasies?  Well no need to worry, because in FFX the characters speak!  It is a lot easier to just sit back and listen to your characters interact with each other, than reading every single word that pops up on the screen.
Instead of running around catching Chocobos, you can play some games of Blitzball.  Blitzball is the new mini game running the scenes behind FFX.  In this soccer like game that is played under water, you build your own team and compete in tournaments to win great prizes like final limit breaks or weapons.
There is a whole new battle structure in FFX.  In this Final Fantasy you are able to switch players out during battle.  This ends up being a great help when you have a man that is about to die and you can switch him out with a nice fresh character, or switch in a healer and heal the hurt man.
There is no world map in FFX.  Instead you go through the game until you come to an airship.  The airship takes you to the location you wish to go to.

Graphics and Details:

The in game graphics are great.  You can make out facial expressions, see the close detail in the weapons and scenery.  This Final Fantasy is the most colorful FF that I have ever played.  The colors are absolutely phenomenal and are enhanced by the nice soundtrack.
WOW!  The cinemas left me breathless.  They are great!  The colors are great, their hair moves as it would in real life, and they are extremely smooth.  If you have ever seen Toy Story one or two and thought that the animation was good, then you will be surprised because FFX's cinemas are right next to Toy Story's.
The weapons are extremely detailed.  You can see ever color, shape, and size on every weapon.  So there is no more confusion between a sword or club.

Final Words:

After around sixty happy hours later, I was satisfied with this game.  The game has a great story.  Getting final weapons, although frustrating at times, kept me busy for hours.  Blitzball, the mini game of all time.  It is much better than catching and racing Chocobos and it is also a bit challenging to those who want some challenge.  The sphere grid is a great new way to build up your levels.
You decide the type of qualities you want for each character.  The new fighting structure is also great.  Switching in and out characters during mid-battle help out a lot.  Customizing your weapons and armor to be what you need is also another great feature of Final Fantasy 10.
Graphics and details wise the game is awesome.  There is not one out of place color anywhere in the game.  All the characters, weapons, and environments were carefully created to give you a full sense of the game.  The cinemas are absolutely amazing.
Get this game!  Those are my final words to you.  You will not be disappointed, and if you are then you are a stick in the mud!  In my opinion, this is the best Final Fantasy ever created.
