Out of all the upcoming wrestling games none of them have more new modes then Smackdown2: Know You're Role, the mode list continues to grow as we speak.
Past modes: You'll see all of you're favorite past modes from the original Smackdown game make their return (accept Pre-Season) ranging from one on one, to the special guest referee and Hardcore matches!
Ladder Match: One of the new modes that will be added to the Smackdown2 mode list is the well knowen ladder match, at the time there is a chance of the ladder match being played in a singals mode, three way dance, or a tag-team mode.
Tables match: What's the point of having the Dudley boys, but no tables? THQ has added yet another great mode to look forward to in Smackdown2 which is the table match, this mode will be played in a singals match, or a tag-team match.
Hell In A Cell: Hell In A Cell (Or HIAC) match is the most feared match in WWF history, THQ is really taking their time to make this mode as real as possible, allowing players to exit the cell, fight on the top of the cell, throw players off the cell, and power bombs/do moves through the top of the cell, to the mat. This sounds like one of the most impressive modes this game has to offer.
Iron Man Match: After seeing the Rock duke it out with Triple H in the Iron Man Match for almost an hour, I really wanted to see this mode appear in at least one of the upcoming games, and Smackdown2 has made my wish come true. You select the length, the wrestlers, but from there it's just a fight to the finish. It's said that this match will be set for no DQ's allowing you to also fight in the backstage area's, personally I think this mode is going to be great in the new season mode.
Casket Match: Not much is known about this dark, casket match, accept the fact that the object is to get you're opponent in the coffin, I'm sure this will run a lot like ECW Anarchy Rulz dumpster Match.
Create A Wrestler: The Create A Wrestler (Or CAW) has been improved in many area's including the appearance allowing you to change over 2,000 different things including eye color, nose, mouth, shirt, pants, colors, etc. And not to forget it will also include body morph targets! In many interviews with THQ they say you will virtually be able to create any one exactly the way you wanted to!
New Season mode: The best career mode I've ever played came from Smackdown, I still play it! I'm glad to see they are leaving the idea of the season the same (Four players, never ending) but expanding it to a further point (More cut parts, selectable choices, long lasting story lines, and more) Another thing I hear that makes me really happy about this mode, is if you turn you're back on you're partner, or attack him/her, they will run out in you're matches, and it will turn into a grudge.
