Secret Racers

There are two secret characters to unlock. Here's how:

Drumstick: Unlock the super-fast but poor-handling rooster by running over the frog with the red crest in the hub level of the Adventure mode. However, you must first be in possession of the completed Wizpig amulet.

TT: Unlock TT himself, who is the fastest character yet handles really well too, by beating all of TT's best times in Time Trial mode - including the Future Fun Land tracks.

Useful Techniques

Super Boost: Just before you hit a zipper, release the accelerator. You will boost faster. Don't push the acccelerator again until the green flame dies down or you kill off the boost.

Sharp Turn: While skidding with R, press and hold the brake button as well, and you'll turn much tighter. This doesn't work with the hovercraft, though.
