This movie stars Stephen Baldwin, Emily Lloyd and Chris Penn. What can I say about this movie? When I picked it up, I can't recall whether it was under the comedy or drama section of the video store. I guess it's a dark comedy?? Don't quote me on that. It's about a poor couple (S. Baldwin & E. Lloyd) living in the desert. Chris plays Buzz's (S. Baldwin) criminal brother, Tirk. After he escapes prison, he kidnaps Buzz's wife and tries to cross the Mexican border. It's got a few twists, but the only reason I like to watch this is to see Chris as a total psycho. I know he blows his top in practically every film, but that's part of why we love him, right? I like when characters successfully manage to scare me. The biggest problems I had with the film was A) The fake hick accents are a bit annoying, and B) The chick who played the reporter needs acting lessons. I'd give this film 4 points out of 10. I'd give Chris' performance 7.5, for being so wonderfully evil.
