Chris on the cover? Yes!

This movie stars Don "The Dragon" Wilson, our man, Chris Penn and some others I'd rather forget. This movie had the potential to be a good action movie, except it had no action. I hate to say anything bad about any of Chris' films, but this one lacked believability. The movie has a few noticeable problems. First, the acting. Chris' acting was the best in the film, no doubt. But even his talent couldn't save it. His character, Tony, was the only believable character throughout the movie. Sorry, but Don Wilson can't act. Same for the girl who played the hooker. And the pimp character? Eh, you get the point. I found myself chuckling during their "serious" scenes. I was both disgusted and amused. I'm really jealous. Those sh*tty actors get to work with Chris? Injustice. I digress. Another big problem was the writing. The lines were just corny and phony. No wonder the acting looked so plastic. Who can work with lines like that? If you'd like to get a better idea of what's wrong with this film, watch an episode of "Martial Law." The plot was typical for an action flick. Something about drugs.. blah. You know. This movie needed better actors, believable lines and maybe some decent fight scenes. Once Chris' character gets killed, there's really no point in continuing to watch it. Trust me, just hit the "stop" button after that. I really didn't care what happened in the end. I already knew the ex-cop would get what he wanted... it was predictable. I'd give this film 4 points out of 10. I'd give Chris' performance 8 for showing those other actors how it's done.
