ALL ABOUT ME

ANNOUNCER: Hello! From the Lone Star State of Texas, and the great city of Garland, this is the bio page!

And now, the man who knows what he likes to look up on the Internet, your host, JOHN LEE! (Audience applause, Doors open, John walks out, and picks up mike as doors close, more Applause from the audience)

John: Thank you, thank you very much. Hello, and welcome to my bio page. I am very thrilled you are here. I cannot tell you what a relief it is to get people interested in my life (PRIVATE LIFE, to be exact. I'm not a huge Big Brother fan, so don't expect to have my privacy invaded by cameras, or anything else related to the show). Here are some of the most interesting facts you will ever know about me.

I was born and raised in Garland, Texas, on March 24, 1983, by my parents, who were born and raised in China in 1948. Back then, I could speak VERY little English. So, I started doing that when I was 4 years old, which was my first year in school. I went to Bullock Elementary for 2 years, from 1987 to 1989, and then, in the fall of 1989, I went to Bradfield Elementary for 1 year. From 1990 on out, I went to Abbett Elementary for the remaining 4 years. In the 2nd and 4th and 5th grades, I was chosen for the school choir. But my parents said that I couldn't sing loud enough to where they could hear me, so as soon as elementary school was over, I went to Jackson Middle School and took part in the school's orchestra (violin-only, not those huge ones you see like the Boston Pops, for example). After middle school, I did not feel like orchestra was going to interest me any longer, so I went to Garland High School, just like my family begged me to, and took Piano Lab, which is what I took then. I'm now taking it at Richland College. Here's a list of other likes and dislikes that might interest you:

LIKES and DISLIKES

1. Internet-I love surfing the Internet. There are certain things that I like to look up on the Internet, which I'm not going to go in to, but I want to mention the things I don't like: I DON'T like looking up Adult content, because it will generally contain pornography, and I know what that is. If you don't, let me explain. Pornography is pictures of totally topless people, like the ones you find in such magazines as PLAYBOY and PENTHOUSE. I also don't like sites which contain the so-called "F"-word (I'm not going to tell you what it is, because it will sound so disgusting even you don't want to hear it), because, as you might hear on many TV shows, they always "beep" it out so no one can hear it.  I know one talk show host who doesn't like that word, and that person is MAURY POVICH, of the "Maury" show, and the deceased, improved version of the hit NBC game show, "Twenty-One." He hates it so much, even the parents of some kids who say it, want their children taken to boot camp to be taught a lesson. He also does this to young want-to-be strippers (people who take off their clothes in public), even those as young as 7 years old! By golly, he knows what to do about that. That explains my look-out for what's on the Internet these days. Now, some talk show hosts will take some unruly teens and pre-teens to either boot camp, jail, or out in the streets of where the show takes place, which ever is the most severe punishment. The streets are fine. The first 2, unfortunately, are not.

2. TV game shows-This is the genre of television that I like the best. Shows such as "Family Feud" and "Hollywood Squares" even keep me from going away from this kind of television. But the ones people like most, are the ones in primetime, like "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" and "Winning Lines." Now, as you might expect, the first one is taking the entire world by storm, with its catchphrase of "IS THAT YOUR FINAL ANSWER?"

3. PIANO-This is what I'm perfect at. I've been playing the piano for 11 or 12 years now. The best pieces I've ever played are the Mazurka in F Major by Chopin, several Bach Inventions, a Sonatina in C by Clementi, and so on. If you've heard any of these pieces, you're in luck!

4. WEB PAGE DESIGN-This is why I created my web site. I wanted very badly to learn HTML, AND I AM HAVING A BLAST LEARNING IT! I thought it was hard at first, but now that I'm getting used to everything about it, well, I'm not stopping! Besides, I created this web site as part of an assignment in a high school computer class.

5. MUSIC-This is my line of talent! But I do more than just play and read music, I LISTEN TO AND SING IT TOO! My sister, Karen, likes to do the same thing as well. Some of her favorite artists are Sarah McLachlan, Jewel, and Natalie Imbruglia. MY favorites include Bonnie Raitt, Billy Joel, Amy Grant, and Vanessa Williams. And...to add to that, my favorite pop group, based in Sweden: THE A-TEENS! Well, for the TWO of us, we're fans of N'Sync and the Backstreet Boys, as well as Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera, just to name a few of the pop artists that WE both like. (Note: The A-TEENS consist of: Marie Eleonor Serneholt, 7-11-83; Amit Sebastian Paul, 10-29-83; John Dhani Lennevald, 7-24-84; and Sara Helena Lumholdt, 10-25-84. Birthdates were taken from when the official A-TEENS site was created. All are singers and dancers, but Amit is the only piano player.)

6. Baton Twirling-This sport is mostly for girls, but I have seen some guys do it. I can tell you, it is pretty easy at first, or hard, as most people will say it, but if you keep practicing, you will strive for success. You can do it for fun, or you can be part of a twirling organization, and I'll cheer you on at all parades for you, no matter what the gender. There are a few disadvantages here: As I have seen in one baton twirling book, mistakes are made when the twirler takes her (or his) eyes off the baton. And also, the spot of drum major is not just for guys anymore. I have seen some girls do it, even if someone describes them as drum majorettes. So, strive at it, and I'll see you during the parades! Now, speaking of majorettes, I surf the net for Photos of Majorettes, and I've asked a few twirling experts if ALL majorettes use whistles. Turns out they don't, but I DO like it when every majorette uses a whistle, let me tell you that. I love it! And speaking of a majorette using a whistle, check out this picture. You can also view it HERE, HERE, and HERE. (It may be the same photo, but it's my top favorite!)Anyway, This is a picture of a twirler with her baton pointed upward and a whistle in her mouth (which she's wearing around her neck, if you can notice a green string when looking closely). And, judging by the picture, she's not just holding the whistle in her mouth. She's blowing the whistle. And, also, her outfit is different from her fellow twirlers. That's because she's not just the twirler captain, she's also the drum major of her school's marching band. You can find more Whistle-Blowing Majorette Pictures in "Forward March!": The Whistle-Blowing Majorette/Baton Twirler Girl Picture Archive, by going HERE. It's a newly created page by yours truly. More pictures are coming in, so check back.

7. GAMES-As the frequent saying goes, "Games are my life." Well, but for me, the games I play are from game shows! My family plays non-game show games, like Alchemy and Bejeweled.

This is just a few of the things you will ever know about me. If you have any more info, you can drop me a line at gameshowguy2000@yahoo.com and I will be glad to answer your mail.  Until then, this is John Lee saying so long for now!
