  Metal Gear Solid

Think James Bond, on the PlayStation, no Mission Impossible, or any sort of film, which has brilliant story and action, and you've got a great game. Metal Gear Solid is new to the PlayStation, it combines brilliant action and adventure built around an even better story, I'm not going to tell you the story, but it will impress you. The story is excellently plotted, and gives you a great story, by the end you'll want to be a spy, and play Metal Gear Solid over and over again. The developers have been around (since the NES!!) for some time, and have gave use all the ISS Pro series, and the latest fun game Bishi Bashi Special. But back to Metal Gear, they haven't skipped on anything, it may seem a bit comic book, e.g. the game has you fighting enemies with some strange features, some have a Colt gun, some have psychic  powers, and some have a big chain-gun and barrel full of bullets on their back. Then there's the big boss at the end...This boss is a man but you'll have a hard time getting rid of him. As you go through the game there are loads of baddies to kill, and the story can end in two different ways. You'll have to meet and work with friends, and some who you thought were your friends turn out to be the enemy. As for the look of then game the graphics couldn't be better on the PS, there detailed and there's rarely any slow down at all. There are some well designed cinema clips (not FMV) and cinematic shots. Once you get past all the guards at the start the game starts a short film, showing the credits, and it burst (with Dual Shock support ) into the logo, Metal Gear Solid. Its designed to be used with a Dual Shock, other wise you'll miss out on good bits. Such as Psycho Mantis, controls your controller (shakes the controller).

Overall its an amazing experience, and very recommended. If you haven't got it yet, you should. BRILLIANT-10/10
