This page will be where you can find out what events are being proposed or are actually taking place. This page is graciously being maintained by Brother Fargus.
Fargus has had several good ideas for great guild events lately. I am posting his ideas here for everyone to read and consider. Please spread the word so that others may view them as well.
THE FROGS KNOW...!
Fargus Fabiyus says, "Hail my brothers and sisters".
With the attack on the frog city of Guk so close near I decided to scout out the area. My travels to me through the areas known as Oasis, South Ro and into the Innothule Swamp. Once in the swamp I could smell a fowl smell. The hairs on my neck stood straight up. My little dwarven heart was beating a little faster. The trees so high above the swamp blocked out the sun that I new was high in the sky. I feared for my life at this point. I was alone without any guild brothers or sisters. I would need to be careful so that I would not become the next victim of the frogmen of Guk. I began to travel along the left hand wall just above the swamp water line. I would look behind me every few seconds. My ears were playing tricks on me as I thought something was behind me the whole time. I was trying to be quiet so no one or anything could hear me. My armor betrayed me though as it clanked louder than ever before. I traveled this route along the wall for awhile. It seemed like days to me.
I stopped dead in my tracks. Up ahead I could see to frogmen standing together. It appeared to me that they were talking. I really could not say for certain as all I heard was a lot of grunts and groans. After a few seconds they both turned around and started hopping in the opposite direction I was facing. Whew, I thought to myself. I think i could handle one in battle, I didn't know if I could take two. What if they call for help I thought to myself. I would again have to be very careful.
I continued to travel along the wall until I came to an open circular area with a hallway in the back. On either side appeared to be a Frogman guard. This is where I would have to stop. I dare not enter or I may not return. I decided to call upon Brell Serilis for some guidance. Upon several minutes of deep prayer it came to me. I would calm the aggressive nature of the beasts and lure one out to me. I began to cast a powerful incantation on both frog guards. Once both had been calmed I picked up a rock and hit one of the frog guards square between the eyes. He broke free from the spell and began hopping directly at me. I backed up around the corner out of sight from the other frog guard. The battle was on.
After a few well placed stun spells and one wrath spell the frog guard lay at my feet dead. I quickly searched him. Nothing much on him except some copper, a piece of mesh cloth, and a sealed note of some kind. I opened the note up and it was in some tongue I couldn't read. I decided to take the note back into Freeport to see if anyone could help me. After I arrived in Freeport I began asking questions to all that I saw. "Do you know if anyone hear in this great city is fluent in many tongues", I would ask. After several hours of this I finally found someone. They told me there was on old wizard who practiced his medicine out in the desert of North Ro.
I proceeded to head to North Ro to find this master wizard. This didn't take long. Once I had found him I introduced myself and explained my story to him. He said, "My name is Alazzar my good dwarf and I will try to help you." He began to study the note. Shaking his head back and fourth. One eye open then closed. His hands moved all over the paper. He turned towards me and said, "I cannot read this just yet. Let me get something and I should be able to". He reached into the bag around his shoulder and pulled out a small vial. It appeared as if there was a tongue in it. I squirmed a little. Magic..bah. He began to chant an incantation and then he swallowed the tongue. It was all I could do from kneeling over and vomiting. A blue mist formed around him and he began to speak in a tongue I couldn't understand. He then began to look at the note again. His eyes raised up in astonishment. What could it be I thought to myself. The blue mist subsided and the wizard's voice returned to normal. "My good dwarf are you planning an attack on the frog city of Guk," he said. "Yes. My guild is going to put a stop to the slaughter that the frogs of Guk are responsible for. How did you know about this though," I said. "It appears they to know about this. The note reads. I am your king and you will do my bidding or face my wrath. I have found out through some evil spirits that we will be under attack by a group that calls themselves Circle of Sol. You will rise up and kill all of them and bring them to me so that we may feast on their flesh and bones. Anyone who brings me a body of a member of this group will receive my blessing in the house of Guk. Now go and prepare yourselves for war my servants."
My heart stopped. How did they find out I thought. I must quickly tell everyone of this news. I thanked the wizard and quickly headed back to Freeport so that I could get the message to as many members of the guild as I could.
4 Days until the attack on Guk my brothers and sisters. As you can see it appears that the frogmen of Guk know we are coming. We must ALL unite to stop them or we face great danger. Please, contact me and let me know if you plan on supporting us in this time of need.
Gift Exchange
Circle of Sol Fellowship Gift Exchange. This would become an annual event. The deadline for signing up for the exchange is Sunday December 5th. The date for the drawing of the names is Monday December 6th. The exchanging of the gifts will be on Thursday January 6th. These dates would be the same every year.

The total number of people who are going to participate in the exchange so far is 25. That is pretty good. We can however do better. This should be lots of fun, so don't get left out. The deadline is approaching soon. If we have an odd amount of people and thus cannot match up properly I will gladly take two people. 8=)
Success Award
The monthly Azeph and Sinina Success Story Award. This award is based on a success story of your times in Norrath. It is a monthly award. The deadline for submitting your story is the end of the month. The winner of the award will be announced on the 10th of the next month. The winner of the previous month will, if they so choose, get to help me select the winner of the next month. Since this is the first month for this award we will actually have two winners of this award. One for December and a lifetime award for anything that happened to you before December. You can have more than one entry each month. Please submit the stories to me and not the onelist message board. I will post all the stories together at one time. When you submit a story please put the title as THE AZEPH AND SININA SUCCESS STORY AWARD. This way I can flag it to the appropriate file. This will save me a little time and should only take a second or too.
Everyone has had something good happen. We all like to here positive
stories, this uplifts us and is part of the reason we all play. I know
we probably have some gifted people in the guild with the ability to
tell stories, Raton comes to mind. So, please take some time to submit a

Rant Award

Everyone has had something bad happen. We all hate it when something bad happens, but sometimes after the fact it can actually turn out to be a funny story. Sometime I will tell you my Permafrost horror story. I know we probably have some gifted people in the guild with the ability to tell stories, Raton comes to mind. Spotlight on Award
Spotlight on Award. This is a monthly award to recognize fellow guild brothers and sisters for outstanding contributions and actions in representing Circle of Sol. It gives each of us a time to say thank you and praise someone. The day I posted this I got a "VERY GOOD RESPONSE". I know there are more. Please take the time and submit a nomination for the Spotlight on award. The deadline is the end of the month. The announcement of the award will be on the 10th of the next month. The winner of the Spotlight on Award, if they so choose, get to help me select the winner of the next month. Please submit all nominations for the Spotlight on award to me. When you submit a nomination please put the title as the SPOTLIGHT ON AWARD. This way I can flag it to the appropriate file. This will save me a little time and should only take a second or too. You cannot nominate yourself.
Founders Day Celebration
Circle of Sol Founders Day Celebration. The date has yet to be determined as no one has told me the actual date the guild was founded.(hehe) This date would be an annual celebration that would constitute a gathering of all guild members in a set zone. (if possible) To celebrate the forming of our great guild. To celebrate the many friendships we have made. To recall many past adventures with drink and song. To come up with some ideas for the upcoming year. At this time I would recognize the past years winners of all the awards again and come up with a winner for the year in each category and announce the winner on this day in front of everyone.
Birthday Celebration
Birthday Celebration. The idea for this is that I would need everyone to look at the day they created their character and submit that date to me as the date we would keep on file for your characters birthday. Everyone would donate 10pp to the birthday fund each time someone had a birthday. After we collected all the money we could then give it to them as say a Circle of Sol Norrath gift certificate.(argh) They could of course do whatever they wanted with this. After all birthdays are submitted to me and on file, I would list each birthday in the upcoming Month so everyone could see whose birthday was coming up. I have received no input on this idea. If you think that this is okay the please say so and submit the date you created your character so I can get your birthday on file. 8=) (as I stated before no my birthday isn't anytime soon)
Those events I am trying to get up and running on a regular basis on the dates stated for each. Other events that are in the works are as follows.
The raid on Guk. The date for this is Saturday December 11th, starting at 8am and running all day. To date 32 brave brothers and sisters have signed up. They are: Fargus, Sinina, Torloth, Azeph, Aktar, Deirdre, Vanita, Lahal, Ohtar, Puppy, Pelmen, Raton, Bryttax, Lavinda, Krizman, Patticus, Theryn, Asudad, Riohan, Vicki, Sadruud, Fathersin, Ebric, Inraka, Abis, Goldenberry, Sylorra, Krisania, Cessalea, Xallahh, Everlasting, and Nivlack
That is AWESOME. I am so pumped about this as I hope you are too. Should be lots of fun. Just think when someone does a search to see who is in the zone and they see all of us. (hehe...as Lahal once said "Circle of SOL IN DA HOUSE")
I got word yesterday from a Ranger who frequents the Innothule swamp that he heard two frogs talking. He told me he couldn't really understand everything that they were saying. All he got out of what they said was they knew we were coming. My brothers and sisters we must unite as one. I fear the frogs of GUK have declared war on Circle of Sol. We need all our resources for this battle. Yes, you are a resource. Please feel free to send me a letter saying you are going to attend the GUK event. I will continue to recruit while I am playing. (forgive me when I spam)
Armor Quest Month
New idea for a guild event that all can participate in. I am declaring the entire month of January as ARMOR QUEST MONTH. Anyone who wants to get their quest armor can send me an email. We then will schedule outings for these quests. ANYONE OF ANY LEVEL CAN SIGN UP. It is possible that we will have some low level characters in groups with high level characters, I don't think this will be a problem. I will work out the details as people sign up and post on this further.
Expansion Outing
I am working on an EXPANSION outing. This would be over the first weekend that the expansion came out. Everyone could explore new zones together. Discover new monsters, items, and places. This will be great fun. I hope it will work out the way I have it pictured.
