Born in Yuri 24 was a poet named Troph. His parents were merchants of Buya who traded with Ug, the friendly ogre. Troph's parents were killed on one of these trade expeditions to Ug. The other Ogres exilied Ug and did not approve with his trading with the humans but he did anyway. Ug was taken away and exicuted, however that is another story to be told at another time. Troph's parents were assaulted by these disaproving ogres and were killed, but luckily Troph escaped.

Troph escaped to the capital city of Buya. He began the simple life of a peasent collecting acorns and ginseng and selling them to the local butcher. Soon he began to grow in poewer and began to become curious about the mythic forces of the land. He chose to become an apprentice to the retired warrior of Jadespear and soon he was ready to set out on his own. Young Troph had to then make an important desicision in his life. He wanted to learn the art of magic but would he choose to use it as a tool for destruction or for healing.

Troph first went to Eldritch to learn of the path of the mage. He learned a great many things from him and then went back to Japespear to consult him about what he learned. Jadespear gave him the power of healing to show him the opposing side of magic. Troph was so thrilled with this power that he rushed to the poet's guild and pledged his life to study the mythic power of healing.
