There are two meetings held annually for Pillayar Nombu and for Tamil New Year.

Previous and forthcoming meetings:

• A meeting was held for Pillayar Nombu on Saturday 3rd January 1998. 19 families attended this meeting in Cannock and 60 ilai were taken. More people were expected, but many could not come due to severe weather conditions. Dr. N. Murugappan of Barrow took over the post of president from Dr. T. Sivalingam of Bolton.

• There was a meeting on Saturday 11th April 1998 in Halifax for Tamil New Year (Sri Veguthanya year).

• There was a meeting for Pillayar Nombu on the 27th December 1998 in Cannock. Dr. A. Subramanium took over the post of president from Dr. N. Murugappan.

• A meeting was held for Tamil New Year (Pramathi) on Sunday 4th April 1999 in Cannock. It was well attended by 68 people.

• There was a meeting for Pillayar Nombu held on Saturday 18th December 1999, in Cleveleys (near Blackpool).

• The first meeting of the new millenium was held for Tamil New Year (Vikrama) on Saturday 8th April 2000 in Bromley, Kent.

• The next meeting will be held for Pillayar Nombu at the end of the current year.
