Campus

The cold mist of a new day holds me,

I am awakened by its sting,

The campus seems nearly abandoned,

I walk alone, though at peace,

The squirrels frolic past, uncaring about my presence,

The trees move softly through the campus, like rocking giants,

As I enter the humanities building, I see te rushed environment,

From the other entrance steam flowed in as hot met cold,

Looking around at the people, most have one thing in mind, “gotta get to class”,

For some, they chat with acquaintances about going on’s,

I walk past, walk through the crowd, walk till I find what I came for,

I find my ray of hope, my ray of joy, that which I am at peace with,

You see, it is the focal point of campus...
