There’s something about flying,
It gives me time to remember the past,
Back in the days when you would sing to me at the beach,
Holding your hand all the while, looking back now time went by fast,
Now I have left you back home and out of reach,
I chose to pursue things out of California, I had to get out,
You were strong, strong enough to let me go,
How I miss the joy you brought me as we stared into each other’s eyes,
Your caressing touch, with skin as smooth as silk,
Your bright eyes, the color of a tropical sea,
Your shining hair, like gold in a summer’s day,
How I wish to hold you in my arms once more,
Holding you firm and still, somehow...someway,
Together I feel like we are legends of lore,
Battling the struggles of the world together, nothing could stop us,
So here I am, flying to meet you once more,
How I long to embrace you back at the beach again,
And be warmed by your kindred heart, how it warms my own.
